If we get Okafor with the #1 pick, we have a nice combo of him and Melo, add Dragic and Gasol and all of a sudden you have something real legit and serious.

People all the time say, "why would Gasol come to the Knicks" but look at your situation, we have cap space to surround him with top talent and with Okafor or any top lottery pick, we have youth on our side. With the Grizz you have cheap ownership and you're stuck in the Western Conference where its so hard to win.

Dragic can be likely, since it doesn't seem like the Suns are really intrigued in keeping his services over those over Bledsoe, but it would take the full max, and he just isn't worth that, just isn't.

Gasol isn't leaving Memphis unless they try to short change him, which they won't as it is clear they prefer him to Z-Bo, and can't blame them. Marc is the heart & soul of that team and he knows it. Plus, with Jeff Green on the squad, they are that much better.

Okafor? Really? With Karl & Kevon, you'd prefer Jahlil? Might as well go with Cauley-Stein.

No they aren't. They are guaranteed no worse than 4th. For example the team slotted 7th could land the first pick and then the Sixers could land the second pick and then Minny could land the third pick which would then have the Knicks picking fourth. That's how the lottery works. So they are guaranteed no worse than fourth, the second worst team no worse than fifth, and the third worst team no worse than 6th. The lottery is for the top three spots and all of the teams who do not make the playoffs are in the lottery for those three spots. Outside of those three spots it goes in reverse order (worst to best).
