Does he seem happier? Is he playing better?

Averaging 17/3/2 on 53 FG% 50 3P% post game 1 where he clearly wasn't ready. Looks like 6th MOY and has been better than Reggie Jackson, who now appears very expendable.

i hate seeing reggie play. all he does is shoot because he knows dion is making him look bad so he attempts to try and cover ground by chucking :facepalm

literally contributes nothing.

If Dion ever puts it all together inside a team concept, he'll be scary.

He's been playing pretty good the last few games. Scored 16 points on 7-9 shooting tonight and a couple steals.

He's been scoring at a good clip since he's been here. That's all we really need him to do.

Reggie is ****in cancer, has been for a while. He always ignores Durant/Westbrook when they are WIDE OPEN or on a fastbreak and takes some retarded shot, thinking he is Kobe or some shit.

People use the term "chucker", "ballhog" for many players but Reggie is truly the best in that class.

yeah Waiters is better at moving the ball and shit, he just knows when plays breakdown that he needs to be aggressive at times too.

Waiters has looked great, hopefully we trade Reggie now.

It's interesting how players are treated when they're in Cleveland vs. seemingly anywhere else. Prior to his being traded, people in this thread would have been screaming how much he sucks and how dumb the Cavs were for drafting him.

Now, suddenly people have mostly nice things to say.

Hmm.

I like what the Cavs got out of Waiters and a decent pick (Mozgov, Shumpert, Smith), but we lost a ton of potential down the road with Dion. He could be as good as he wants to be. Shump is a nice longterm prospect, but he doesn't have Dion's ceiling.

I'd say he's contributing more than Lance Thomas did. Good trade indeed.

When you factor in the rumours of a locker room rift with Kyrie last season and all that you can see why people have been critical.

Also maybe something to do with the fact that Cleveland used a top 4 draft pick to get Dion, I cant even remember who OKC gave up to get Dion.

I would have to agree.....it was a great trade. Waiter is a lot better than any player we would have picked up with the draft pick we gave up.....AND it's protected on top of that. :applause:

If the Nets were willing....I would give up Perkins/Lamb/Jerrett without a second thought.

Doesn't matter who OKC gave up. The Cavs got Iman Shumpert, JR Smith and a first-rounder for him. That's a more than respectable haul. There have been far worse Top 5 picks over the last few years.

For what they got and gave up seems like thunder and cavs won trade compared to Knicks who just opened up salary cap. For cavs perspective getting basically 2 1/2 players for shump as pick helped nab Mozgov they improved overall with depth and defense.

Lopez = Bynum at this point. Can't stay healthy sadly.

What Im saying is he doesnt have to do much to be a positive for the Thunder since they gave away nothing to get him.

For the Cavs, they used a top four pick on him(not saying it was a terrible pick) so a teams fanbase is going to expect more from someone they just drafted so high compared to someone who they only had to give away lance thomas to get.

Anyway just a theory.

If Waiters is having a decent offensive night, he's better than Harden ever was for us because he's been playing solid defense thus far.

Harden had one true good year for OKC and in that year choked hard in the finals, before leaving. His defense was never good either, while Waiters so far is already making a bigger impact on that end, while also more clutch and looks like he's great at playing off of other stars rather than letting the sixth man role hurt him because he doesn't have as big of an ego.
