I'll start, with "Traveling through the Dark" by William Stafford:
Traveling through the dark I found a deer
dead on the edge of the Wilson River road.
It is usually best to roll them into the canyon:
that road is narrow; to swerve might make more dead.
By glow of the tail-light I stumbled back of the car
and stood by the heap, a doe, a recent killing;
she had stiffened already, almost cold.
I dragged her off; she was large in the belly.
My fingers touching her side brought me the reason

Do not go gentle into that good night
Dylan Thomas, 1914 - 1953
Do not go gentle into that good night,
Old age should burn and rave at close of day;
Rage, rage against the dying of the light.
Though wise men at their end know dark is right,
Because their words had forked no lightning they
Do not go gentle into that good night.
Good men, the last wave by, crying how bright
Their frail deeds might have danced in a green bay,
Rage, rage against the dying of the light.
Wild men who caught and sang the sun in flight,
And learn, too late, they grieved it on its way,
Do not go gentle into that good night.
Grave men, near death, who see with blinding sight
Blind eyes could blaze like meteors and be gay,
Rage, rage against the dying of the light.
And you, my father, there on the sad height,
Curse, bless, me now with your fierce tears, I pray.
Do not go gentle into that good night.
Rage, rage against the dying of the light.

I Am Not Yours
Sara Teasdale, 1884 - 1933
I am not yours, not lost in you,
Not lost, although I long to be
Lost as a candle lit at noon,
Lost as a snowflake in the sea.
You love me, and I find you still
A spirit beautiful and bright,
Yet I am I, who long to be
Lost as a light is lost in light.
Oh plunge me deep in love

Oh I wonder, with thought so vibrant
Doth spring the thunder! Dethrone the tyrant!
He sits on his throne, a magnificent ape!
From the vine, he draws a grape
But it is too big, that marvelous fig
He starts to choke, and for his bell he doth dig
Ring ring!! Ring ring!! Fetch me some help!
I am facing great trouble! He exclaimed with a yelp
Then All of a sudden... out from below, there appeared four shadows, all of them glow...
Could it be Kyrie and Kevin and Timo and Tristan!
Hahaha!!!
On all the land my team shall be pissin!
But it quickly appeared, as the figures drew near,
They were not who he thought, and he grabbed for his spear
He attempted a throw, but it was too late,
It's the fourth quarter you know! Hath been sealed is your* fate!
Kd and Russell, his screams they did muffle
Back in Cleveland, in a world full of trouble...

I saw you walking down the street just the other day
I didn't see your damage from that far away
I should have got a clue when the kids started screaming
You walked up to me with your buck teeth a-gleaming
You hair was all frizzy and your face was a mess
I thought it was a sack but it's your favourite dress
You hurt the trees feelings and the birds all flew
I don't mean to insult you - Oh yes I do!
Your teeth are yellow they're covered in mould
You're only fourteen you look a hundred years old
When looks were handed out you were last in line
You face looks like where the sun don't shine
Did you fall off a building and land on your head
Or did a truck run over your face instead
There ain't no pill cos you ain't ill
You ugly!

Yeah, shout the girls from the east who know what's good with me,
Shout the ones from the west know what's good with PND.
Stories of you and your girls is all I hear,
Who do you **** in the city when I'm not there?
(I owe you time) let's plan somethin' out when I come back from Europe,
Swear I'm withholdin' my urges 'til you get this one-on-one shit like your name Katie Couric.
I gotta get you those snow tires for your Mercedes, I'm glad you reminded me baby
All of these things slip my mind it's been crazy.
Bite on your shoulder I know that's your favorite,
Touching yourself to that video we made a month ago
You a freak and your cover's blown.
How you talked me into sendin' that to you, I'll never know
**** it girl, I'm 'bout whatever though.
Yeah I guess a ***** just believe in you,
And that's proof for you.
Could name a lot of things any other man won't do for you,
I'll do it for you, that's real.

In the spare of the moment I looked to your eyes for the easy comfort that I'd looked for seeing the slow moving waves swaying but a rapid uncontrollable tide set ablaze only seeing me in the reflection knowing I was the cause.
In the spare of the moment I knew that what I thought was freedom was but a sentence to life in your tormenting prison.
In the spare of the moment I knew that the illusion that I thought was love was but a trick of evil deception locking me away in the depths of your heart.
In the spare of the moment I knew I had given it to you, I knew that I had given you the satisfaction to control my life. I left for you, after these words you con me into saying and you stole it away before I knew what I had done and when I realized it I thought I could break it but I couldn't because that was part of it to give you more power.
In the spare of the moment I thought I had broken your spell that you so simply called love not knowing its lingering affects. Not knowing I had sealed more a long hand delivered what you wanted straight to control, you wanted me to say it then scare me into denial thus leaving me to run trapping myself. In the spare of the moment my life was over, I was at your disposal, I died there in an instance.
In the spare of that very moment you used your "love

Def In The Spare Of a Moment...
Came here to post but my admiration was thwarted
I have it emblazon in bronze on a plate that sits on the mantle of my dining room.
