Smiths former 6 man of the year. Not being in NY is what's making JR better. He can't go clubbing and chasing girls all night.

jr was instantly playing good for the cavs, much earlier than lebron even came back for his injury. all of this while orlando still sucks

Smith's play has been declining for 2 or 3 years. I think he will have some games where he shoots the lights out, but he can shoot you out of games also.

I never understood Jameer's name. Didn't Trevor Ariza hit a clutch three to BEAT the Magic during the 09 Finals? Why on Earth would you praise that by having it as your name?

Boneheaded is boneheaded. It always manifests itself sooner or later

This. JR is a volume scorer, which means that he needs A LOT of shots to score his points, and when his shots don't fall, he's actually HURTING the team. That's exactly what Mo and Jamison were in Cleveland, and when their shots weren't falling in the playoffs, they didn't do much else. JR hasn't had a good playoff series since Dallas in 2009... Kyrie and Love are also volume scorers, and they're both in the same starting lineup with JR (Tristan Thompson is not what I think of when I think of instant offense off the bench, which is the best role for JR by far). LeBron having Wade, a SMART player who could do other things on offense besides score when his shot was off, as well as play solid defense, by his side in Miami is a huge reason why he has two rings. And it's not like JR can easily grow out of his habits, as he's been this way his whole career, unlike Waiters who still has a chance to develop into a smart team-oriented player, and even Kyrie as this is only his 4th season. As for a few good games due to him not being in New York? His 6th man of the year award was won while he was on the Knicks, and his bad games on the Knicks weren't solely because of the triangle, as he was below average last year too.

JR is who he is, a streaky player who was long overdue for some good games.
