He has played for 7 different teams and his career TRB% is 21.8, for comparison Dennis Rodman sits at 23.4% for his career D12 is 20.7% Moses Malone is 19.7%. Evans is a ferocious rebounder, always fighting to get in position and a lot of times he makes good passes after securing a rebound. He also has got a good touch around the rim putting back or posting up for a short hook. He is sometimes a bit too excited to get those defensive rebounds though.
It might not cry all-time greatness when you look at his raw RPG, as his best season he averaged 11RPG but only playing less than 25 minutes a game. Reggie's 2013 season is on par with Rodman's 94 season if we go by total rebounds per 100 possession to account for pace. Actually top 15 rebounding seasons(since 73-74 season) according to TRB per 100 possessions looks something like this:
1- Reggie Evans 24.4
1- Dennis Rodman 24.4
3- Dennis Rodman 24.3
4- Dennis Rodman 24.2
5- Dennis Rodman 24.2
6- Dennis Rodman 24.0
7- Jeyson Williams 22.8
8- Dennis Rodman 22.7
9- Swen Nater (ABA) 22.0
10- Danny Fortson 21.8
11- Ben Wallace 21.7
12- Reggie Evans 21.4
13- Kevin Love 21.2
14- Swen Nater (ABA) 20.9
15- Kevin Willis 20.8

He's the best that I have ever seen that's for sure. Especially for his 6'8 height

Based on numbers and ability, he is, but I don't think he's as great as his reb% shows, as long as he had never been a 40 mpg player, never a great shot blocker and was never asked to do more statistically than just chase rebounds.

Had he been anything of the above, his %'s would have dropped, the same way the shooting %'s of an elite shooter like Korver would have dropped if he had been told to become a 25+ ppg scorer, let alone an all-around great scorer.

Definitely, he's an amazing rebounder. Still remember when he was on the Raptors and the impact he had on the Clippers in the playoffs. Dwight is also underrated, he's one of the best as well.

One of the few guys in the history of the league who can put up a statline of 20 rebounds and 0 points in a game.

He's pretty good, and he may be one of the best at getting a few rebounds in a short period of time; but, is a 100 yard sprinter considered the best if he is always in first place at the 40 yard mark? No...
If Evans was one of the best rebounders of all time wouldn't he be playing more than his lifetime average of 20 minutes per game?

Not sure why you said never mind.

This is 100% correct.
