Maybe a deal between these two teams.

Heat doesn't need Jack's offense and Chalmers is better defensively. I wouldn't trade if I were Pat.

Jack's better but that doesn't mean he's the answer to Miami's point guard woes. Wouldn't bother with him if I were Pat

it wasn't too long ago that people were propping up Chalmers to ridicule Lebron...

You need the right locker room for Jack.
Chalmers could fit basically anywhere, but he just isn't very good.

Better talent? Jack pretty obviously.
Better player? Doesn't matter lol

It's actually a lot closer than the above poster's make out. Chalmers has played with ball-dominant players his whole career, Wade and Lebron. He does provide sneaky athleticism, surprisingly finishes at the rim well, and is a decent three point shooter.

Now if we compare this with the offense of Jarrett Jack who settles for a large amount of long two's, has similar shooting ability to Chalmers and is a slightly better finisher.

Advantage Jack by a small margin.

Defensively though, Mario is far superior when focused. Although he struggles against the quickest guards he has above average lateral movement, has played in the Miami system so rotates very well and closes out pretty well. Jarrett Jack has never been much of a defender, often letting his man beat him off the dribble, poor size and lateral movement.

Advantage Mario by a decent margin.

So in essence, it really depends what your team needs. If you need a decent defender who is a decent shooter, Rio is your man. If you need a spark off the bench, Jack is your man.
