This Warriors game shows EXACTLY WHY the Rockets are a First round OUT again

I don't. We still have shitty games, but we don't look worse as a team. This game vs the Warriors is just a giant, nasty shart. I've watched every single Rockets game this season and what you're currently watching on TV isn't us. Our defense is wayyy off, and the guys can't make any shot.

It's the same game from Friday vs. Warriors. Just in the Bay area. :lol

Harden has improved tremendously
and another year of solid chemistry
They were only in their 2nd season together as a unit
So stupid

So you don't care? This game should at least be close against a team they will absolutely face in the playoffs. Do you really see this team defending them at a high level for 4 games?

How can we miss players who were not only part of our previous first round exit but were some of the main contributors?
The Rockets problem is their organization's love affair with McHale. After a new decade of Morey I'm starting to think he is not a basketball purist. I don't think he really understands the game and can clearly see what's unfolding on the court. The Rockets style of play is disgusting; it's not basketball.

I'm not sure they are better with Parsons instead of Ariza
But Lin is a hell of a lot better than Alexey Shved :lol

Of course I care. You should've seen what I was doing and saying when the Warriors started murdering us in the 2nd quarter. If we continue this kind of play, then we aren't going anywhere. Am I worried? A little bit. Its like someone has an on/off button on us. Sometimes we look good and other times we look like a bottom tier team. This can't happen in the playoff.

Maybe if you'd watch a game of basketball (tonight for instance) you'd see how useful Lin would be to this team.
And yes McHale is terrible. If Harden was playing at this level last season, he would have started with Lin instead of Bev.

Lin is too soft and inconsistent. Rockets already have Dwight...

Don't see either of those two being the difference between them not losing by double digits tonight.

Terry is more then enough to cover lin and once Cannan gets fitter and regains his match fitness after his stint in the D league we'll get better. losing a average player like lin is not an issue. Brewer and Aiza and not to mention Papanikola cost less then parsons combined and are much better value.
The real loss was Asik with Dwights decline this season. We still hve a few 2nd round picks, the pelicans 1st which will be lotto pick and a few expiring contracts to improve. Losing to the wariors dosent mean we miss a average point guard and a overpaid SF. We would have los to this seasons warrios regardless of if we had them or not.

Not really. If we had kept Parsons then we wouldn't have the depth that we now have. Plus those players are looking better than Parsons is so far. As for Lin, he might have come in handy this last game against GS, but that's typical Lin. Good one game out of the entire season.
If we face the Warriors we face the Warriors.
Like I said, Houston dominated this series recently until this season, where Golden State swept. Clearly they are much improved. They are far and away the best team right now. Parsons and Lin wouldn't change that.
It is what it is.

If the Rockets had (a much improved) Harden, Parsons, Lin and some vets
The chemistry would be off the charts
The team meshed great last year

Parsons hasn't improved. Lin, which I didn't think was possible, got a lot worse. I think we're better off without them.

Did the team mesh great?
Asik was butt hurt he didn't start so he pretended he was injured and sat out half the season.
Lin bitched that McHale and Harden were picking on him during games.
Parsons thought he was better than he was.
It was Dwight's first season, and Jones and Beverleys first season as starters.
What part of that is 'meshy' to you?

Don't make up lies. When did Lin ever bitch about anything?

Um... Every week it was something else.
Granted I think he was considered the 'outsider' to the rest of the team and probably wasn't considered part of the crew, but he was always bitching. You could see him bitch when Harden or Dwight yelled at him on the court.
I always liked Lin and hoped he would have had some success in LA but, whatever.
I think a lot of it had to do with Beverley taking his starting spot thanks to Harden.

Find me one quote or source of Lin bitching. Dude is a great teammate and even though he didn't fit with the team there was no hints or rumors of chemistry issues with anyone.

The real issue is Mchale. The Rockets aren't going anywhere with Mchale as their coach. It's just that simple.

Morey, McHale, Dwight, no PG.
Those are the Rockets problems.

What team did you watch last year? Clearly Harden and Lin did not gel. It was obvious when Harden ignored his plays. Beverley and Lin didn't get along either for obvious reasons.
McHale blamed Lin for a lot of things, which was probably more McHale sucking than Lin.
Then he got upset the rockets used his #7 jersey to recruit Melo. He had every right to be upset, but I don't think it was done on accident.

The difference between 7th and 3rd will probably be less than four games.
No way. We're a better team now. Sure, we're not super good, but we're much better without them.

What you just said is a FAR CRY from "Lin was bitching every week".
Quit making Lin out to be some disgruntled teammate. He is a lot of things. A bad teammate/locker room guy is not one of them.

I'm not a Rockets fan but I don't see how the Rockets would be better off with Chandler Parsons and Jeremy Lin than with Trevor Ariza and Jason Terry. Ariza's work on the defensive end (2.0 steals plus a defensive rating of 102) is more beneficial for the Rockets than Parson's scoring last season. However, Ariza has been detrimental to the team offensively by shooting 37.1% from the field. Meanwhile, Jason Terry is averaging 7.8 points, 2.1 assists, and 1.0 steals with a 57.9 TS% in 22.4 minutes. Lin, last year, averaged 12.5 points, 4.1 assists, and 1.0 steals with a 57.2 TS% in 28.9 minutes. Chandler Parsons and Jeremy Lin don't make this a better overall team. In fact, this year's team is better defensively than last year, despite losing Omer Asik and Terrence Jones playing a total of four games. Once Terrence Jones is back in the lineup, the Rockets are going to play better than they have so far.

Don't count on TJones having much impact if/when he comes back. Rockets are a much different team now. All they do is let Harden drive and dish for threes. Post up DMo on occasion. The rest is in transition.
Plus he's a horrible defender, especially in the post.

Tjones is a great glue guy, his is for Houston what Draymond green is for GS with less defense, although Green is not that great one on one post defender vs big guys because of the size, but better that Jones
Tjones doesn't need any play run for him, he will get you key buckets and do the dirty work, he will actually be a better starter than Dmo along side Dwight.
And yes he will struggles defensibly vs big guys in the post, but vs teams like GS that like to go small, he will do great.

He's still a solid rebounder that can put up at least 12 points a game efficiently. He's better than Donatus Motiejunas or Josh Smith, at the very least.

Bev and Lin worked great together. Bev now is showing his liabilities.

Pretty sad That Jason Terry at 37 years of age is a much better point guard than Jeremy Lin.:facepalm Terry was considered a shoot first player his whole career going all the way back to his days in Atlanta.:facepalm

Terry in his best years was scoring ~20 PPG on good percentages. He also had years with 6-7 APG IIRC.
