He deserves it. Just like Jordan deserved it during his Wizards days. It's gonna be the same with LeBron when he hits 36 even when he could have the same stats as Kobe. You mad, bro?

Top 10 player all time, so it's not that much of an outrage.

Lifetime achievement for all he's done for the game.

It's called respecting a legend like 1992 with Magic, 2002 with Jordan, and 2013 with Garnett.

Isn't the All-Star game just a showcase for the fans? Does Kobe deserve it, no, but does it really matter?

I'd love to see the ASG roster decided by people who know the game, but so long as it's a giant piece of fan service you have to expect this kind of selection.

A 17th All-Star selection isn't going to turn Kobe into a top 10 all-time player, it's just a meaningless accolade tacked on at the end of his career. It happened in baseball with Jeter and will continue to happen for legends of all sports.

The salt is so strong. Why weren't you posting this shit when the first ballot returns came back? Everyone knew Kobe, most popular and best NBA player in the last decade, would be making it. It's the farewell tour. Get used to it.

He'll probably make it the year after he retires too. Stay salty.

You better go to China and explain that to all those fvcken Kobe fans. Goodluck trying to convince them he isnt one of the best. It is what it is, he wouldnt have this kind of support if he wasnt an all time great, like someone else said its a lifetime achievement award.

Inaccurate, actually. Magic didn't play a single game in the 1991-92 season but was still voted in. 01-02 Jordan put up almost the exact same numbers as current Bryant except on worse efficiency. 12-13 Garnett was averaging under 15 points and 8 rebounds.

As I said, it wasn't about who deserved it over these players. It was about fans respecting greatness.

T-Mac was voted in while missing a ton of games, Yao voted in when he broke his foot and only played the first 5 games or so? As mentioned Magic was voted when he was retired, wasn't even on a roster yet he played in the all star game as a starter

allstar game is littered with guys who the fans wanted to see despite their injuries or level of play or lack of play at all

they all have one thing in common.. they were all premiere players.. fans never vote in scrubs, they may vote in injured players but they don't vote in lousy players

And yet that's all you talk about on here 24/7 is Kobe all day everyday. Ouch... I believe somebody here might have a huge man crush on the guy you have this weird obsession with him that is unhealthy. Here some advise get a job move out of your parents basement and do something productive with your life. Kobe is living rent free in your mind. :oldlol:

Deserving? Maybe or maybe not but to call it an "absolute joke" is just pure hating. Let the kobe stans enjoy their boy a while longer, bran will be in the same boat a few years from now. Besides I'd rather watch Kobe play than that free throw vermin Harden. :oldlol:
