New commissioner forgot to fix vote counts to feed his own agenda.
Possibly.
That has to be the strangest and biggest drop off in history.
And last seasons MVP at that. The season after Nash won his MVP, he started his only all star game.

I knew something was up when Lowry was voted into the starters for the East. Something is being fixed.

It's one of those weak AS starting line ups in history, I'm glad he is not among them.
How much stock do you put into AS labels now? It used to mean something.

Maybe Silver didnt count the votes for injured players while they were injured.

I don't know whether I'm more surprised at Gortat's vote total, or Durant's.
Did he just fall off the face of the earth? He's still one of the three best players in the league. Arguably the best.

It's obvious that injuries did him in.
I guess the question remains, was it because Silver didnt rig the vote, or did rig the vote because of it. :lol

Kobe has played half the season.
I can't believe he's still so popular even after not playing the last two years.

Canada took over on that one. The Prime Minister, Bieber, etc. told followers to vote for him over the last few weeks. He got a lot of votes very quickly.
durant just isn't that entertaining to watch.

Between this and both Gasol brothers starting I don't think I've ever been happier with the results of the all star voting.

KD isnt in the starters because his name wanst on the voting list like the other stars you had to search his name. If he wasnt hurt hed probably be leading voters out of everyone even Curry and Lebron

This is the correct answer. Kind of disappointing that he was left out of the list due to missed time, but oh well.
The vast majority of his votes were OKC fans/Durant fans who actually spent time looking through the list to find him.
Pretty bad mistake on the NBA's part.
Players like Melo who missed a lot of time have a lot more fans of the team, NY, which took the time to find him and vote him in.
