View Full Version : What if the Thunder AND the Suns make the playoffs?

With PHX and OKC improving their level of play recently and winning games just to secure that 8th spot, I think it's possible for them both to make it as a 7th and 8th seeds... though I'll admit it seems unlikely.
Question is, if they keep on winning and a higher seeded team falters, who's the most possible candidate to collapse and drop down to 9th in your opinions?

The standings as of now:

It might look ridicoulus now, but Portland is in trouble if Aldridge is missing more than the projected 4-6 weeks.

With such a stacked west, it's actually not that ridiculous... I agree, they could collapse. The season is still young.

SAS dropping way more games than I thought so far, they finish the season strong most of the time so if both PHX and OKC were to make it Portland is a candidate. On the other hand SAS and Portland are 12th and 26th respectively, Dallas same as Portland while OKC is 4th in SOS rankings. I'm leaning towards the Spurs to drop out given this situation.

With LMA's injury the Blazers are in trouble.
All depends on health at this point.

Thomas and Bledsoe, those ballhogging morons would screw us in the playoffs anyway.

The Trail Blazers are in serious trouble, like someone mentioned, if they can't play well without LaMarcus Aldridge. Spurs have been losing a lot of games that I expected them to win. I really like how the Thunder (7-3 in last 10) and Suns have been playing (8-2 in last 10).

Blazers are in serious trouble without LMA for so long. If I had to point out someone it would be Portland.

They have a very tough schedule too. Their upcoming opponents include the Wizards, Cave, Hawks, Suns, Mavs, and Rockets.

It's pretty tough, with Grizzlies, Clippers, Rockets, Mavs (twice), and Spurs not to mention the Hawks, Cavs, Thunder, and Suns. They do play the Nets (2-8 in last 10), Bucks (missing Parker, Sanders, and Ersan) Jazz (twice), and Lakers though.

Not gonna lie, Spurs could see themselves missing the playoffs this year.
