Sadly Durant isn't in the east. Where you can take vacations in the middle of te season and regardless of how your team does without you as long as you're close to .500 HCA is never far away.

Hey man, it wasn't a vacation he was just doing his job as GM and flying out to see Ray Allen and trying to get him on board

No excuses.

this. westbrook & okc have been getting away with too many excuses. bosh and wade were injured in 2012 and lebron still got it done, no excuses.

Lebron can relate.

I wish haters could attempt being logical. The Heat had injuries during the playoff runs, the cavs have certainly had many injury issues as well. As do many other teams.

TheMarkMadsen

Difference is that Lebrons cavs were below .500 and still in the playoffs comfortably.

Being below .500 in the west at this point basically guranteed you won't make the playoffs

I don't know, man.

OKC haven't looked great with a healthy Westbrook and Durant.

Not making the Playoffs is on them (the whole team + coaching staff), not injuries (imo). They should be winning 70% of their games with the two of them in the lineup. :confusedshrug:

Wow.

What a lame, bull$h1t cop-out of an excuse from a weak coach.

Pathetic

Unless there are future injuries...this Thunder team not making the playoffs would be a disaster and everyone involved should be blamed.

Most of all Presti...for doing a shit job since the Harden trade of actually getting the guys this team needed. He was a year late on the move for Waiters...and he's sitting on real assets that could net him and his team something.

Why not go all in when they ****ing have the most talented team in the league when healthy?????

Steamrolled through the playoffs in the West and were the favorites right before Finals tip off.

Vegas didn't think you were too young.

Any season with Scott Brooks is an asterisk season. Unfortunately for me the same could be said for McFail.

Brooks isn't a championship caliber coach. He's had basically three years to get it done and nothing, the noose is getting tight :hammerhead:

OKC is a weak team guys. Give them the asterisk.

The man is right. OKC has been plagued by injuries too much in the past 3 years. Hopefully they have better luck next year.

Dude needs to STFU and coach.

Aldridge, Batum, Lopez miss more games than Durant and Westbrook. Zach Randolph has missed ten games. Dwight Howard has missed a ton of games. Parker, Leonard and Splitter in San Antonio. Lee and Bogut in GS. A. Davis misisng games in New Orleans. The Cousins illness and the crazy owner screwed up the Kings momentum.

You are in the play-offs, you can win the title with that roster. If you don

You don't get any asterisk seasons when you're coaching the best player in the world.

You do when they miss 82 games, not 18.

Ibaka - All-Defensive First team and 2nd in DPOY voting (missed it by like 20 votes)
Harden - 6th MOY

I can't believe a head coach has actually called a season an asterisk season...they're the ONE person on the team that says no excuses, you get it done no matter what. Much less half way through a season. Jesus christ, fire this clown already.

I, like most Thunder fans, are critical of Brooks, but now I'm actually starting to think he's just been looking at our improved league rank in APG each year, and assuming he's doing something right.

Does someone actually need to tell a coach, who's somehow done enough to get an NBA head coaching gig, that he actually has to implement some sort of offensive system that incorporates quick ball-movement and less isolation? That you can't just use the yearly improvement in APG by the team, mostly due to the natural improvement/progression of two immensely talented players in KD and Russ, to think "you're doing it right"?

Scott Brooks is what he is: a great coach when the chips are down and he has a really young roster with a ton of potential playing with house money. He's useless, though, when the core of the team are veterans who are talented enough veterans to win championships.

I'm so sick of this guy being our coach. I'm mostly serious when I say OKC not being able to get over the hump to make the playoffs this year could be a good thing if it leads to Scott Brooks finally getting fired. It's not like we're going to go through the West as an 8-seed and make the Finals anyway.

get this guy brooks out of here... i've chalked up this season as a loss.

a team can't just think they can win based on talent - there has to be SOME rhythm and consistency to the offense... after all, rhythm and consistency is what allows the role players to contribute and hit their shots.

of course OKC could put roberson at the very end of the bench, instead of having him gobble up 22 minutes a game and back everyone up a spot in the rotation... now a guy that should have been playing 28 MPG the entire year is now playing 15, and on down the line of backup guards.

then for example, a guy like Morrow gets to play 30 minutes instead of 17 like he did tonight, which allows him to find a rhythm, hit a few buckets and end up having a nice contribution... or a guy like Reggie Jackson plays 34 minutes instead of 26... the whole team has more continuity and is better by the season's end... it's getting too late now.
