"Another police killing is stirring anger in another town, this time in New Jersey, where a tense traffic stop captured on video ended with a passenger shot to death as he stepped out of a car with his hands raised at shoulder height.
The newly released footage from a police dashboard camera shows Bridgeton officers Braheme Days and Roger Worley in a Dec. 30 stop that escalates quickly after Days warns his partner about seeing a gun in the glove compartment of the Jaguar.
Days screams over and over at the passenger, Jerame Reid, "Show me your hands!" and "If you reach for something, you're going to be f------ dead!" The officer appears to reach into the car and remove the gun. But the brief standoff ends with Reid disregarding Days' order to not move, stepping out and getting shot.
The shooting has touched off protests in Bridgeton, a struggling city of about 25,000 people — two-thirds of them black or Hispanic — 35 miles from Philadelphia. The case came after months of turbulent demonstrations and violence over the killings of unarmed black men by white police officers in New York and Ferguson, Missouri.
Days is black, his partner white. The passenger was black, as was the driver."

This guy actually had his hands up but he was convicted of attempted murder, who had shot at police before, and he was known to police(cop was calling him by name). One of the cops is black too, so this may never take off nationally.
IMO, dude should have stayed in the car, and basically got 100% of what was coming to him.

Sketchy situation here. Cop essentially shot the guy for getting out the car without permission
Read how that sounds

Sort of, the cop told him repeatedly to stop reaching for whatever the hell he was reaching for. The guy wouldn't stop, then the guy gets out of the car like a dumbass when the cop told him not to like 5+ times?
I felt it was a bit much, but what are you to do when someone's not listening like that? The cops yell at you and give you those orders for a reason.

You gonna shoot every person for not listening??
The guys hands were up, dude. I'm not even sure shooting at that time is an option.
You people sound like idiots. No respect for black lives it seems.

At what point do you stop though? The officer told him to stop reaching for what he was reaching for, and to not get out the car several times, he got out the car anyway. Are you not allowed to shoot the guy until he's physically assaulting you with a weapon even though he disobeyed direct orders from an officer several times designed to keep the officer and the suspect safe?
No respect for anyone in this case, black, white, yellow if they're just going to get out of the car when they're a murder suspect and disobeying orders from and officer repeatedly. Orders designed to keep yourself and the officer safe.

TBH, I really don't care anymore because none of these guys are innocent and all of them are criminals who were in the act of committing a crime or fleeing from a crime. Media just glorifies them and tries to portray them as being innocent while throwing race in the article with terms like "Black cop, White partner, black suspects, etc" which is classic race baiting but we all know it's to create media exposure. But what if the guy who died did run away because the cop didn't want to kill him and hurt some innocent civilians? Then people would complain that the Cops should have done their job and protect the people..
Problem is that after the Brown and Garner incidents no one will care anymore as it already got the mass media exposure and the media will just find some other incident to create for exposure. Rinse and Repeat. Maybe the next topic will be animal brutality where there will be a case of some hick in the deep woods of Missouri torturing some animals...
