That was luck as well. Everyone thought Curry's ankles were made of glass and he'd spend more time on the bench than actually playing, which is why GS got him at a discount. It's just been ever since he signed he's been completely healthy.

Also got Draymond Green in the second round, drafted Harrison Barnes, signed Lee and Iggy, and made a genius trade for Andrew Bogut.
What a turnaround.

Mark Jackson
He was just a guy in the right place at the right time.
Kerr is infinitely superior.

How the Lakers let this man walk is beyond me. He ones to Golden State and puts his stamp on it and they're looking like contenders already.

Yes Gentry is fantastic. Unlike Jackson, Kerr doesn't mind having good assistants.
I think the move for Kerr may be their best one.
Guy can be a HOF coach.

Yes. Exactly why Jackson needed to go. Although, Im not sure if he had Goat tier assistant coaches like Kerr.

When Gentry leaves he will be exposed.

Because he would have chased them out, like he did to Mike Malone.
Gentry would have been demoted to video coordinator :lol

Kerr is better as a broadcaster and a coach i'd be salty too... like if Kerr wanted to quit coaching and go back to TV he could take Mark jackson's job again ;)

In this Draft it was quite unanimous if I recall correctly that Klay was behind Alex Burks on draft boards. It was only until the last day or two Klay was rumored that he could go above Burks, but even then it was a long shot. And then BAM, GWS select Klay over Burks... Nothing against Burks, he is a fine role players - but GWS netted themselves a... I wont say "star" yet, but I will say top 3 SG in the league, bordering on entering a career of stardom..

Klay played in the boonies for Washington state.
The general public may have been shocked, cus they didn't see him, but he beasted in the PAC 12.
That's why there's people that are scouts/gms , and people that poast on message boards

Getting D. Green in the 2nd round was a huge steal, also making right picks in superstar Curry & all-star Thompson doesn't hurt. Barnes was a solid pick, trading Monta for Bogut was an unpopular move at the time for GS fans, but that trade allowed both Curry & Thompson to flourish and allowed the Warriors to become an elite defensive team.
But how about signing Marreese Speights as a free agent in 2013? He averages close to 13 ppg on only 18-19 mpg and he is money from mid-range. He is quietly having one of the best seasons for a reserve.
