I've never had a Mac before, though ive used them from time to time. Wanted to know if a mac with these specs would be a good deal at the price.

15 inch Macbook Pro from late 2011:

2nd Gen Intel Quad Core i7, 500 gb hard drive, 4 gigs of Ram and an AMD Radeon 6750 video card, display resolution is 1440 X 900, laptop is in excellent condition.

Price would be $620.

The hard drive size is smallish but it would be of little consequence as I have the 650 GB hard drive of my now broken old laptop, and I also have an external drive. Also have two 4 GB Ram sticks from my old laptop, though I'm not sure if they are compatible with Mac memory.

All in all, seems like an OK price for the quality of a Mac Pro (build quality, keyboard is lighted, Mac OS X), but I'm still thinking about it, since I could get my broken Lenovo laptop in its exact configuration used for $280 on eBay.

Any opinions on this deal?

video card is gross.

It is quite old, though still better than the integrated HD4000 on my old laptop, which let me play Dark Souls 2 and Skyrim at over 40 fps.

Still, not going to be gaming that much on this laptop, unless Steam for Mac is really good.
