Anybody picking this game up? I've wanted it since the PS4 dropped. Not sure what it's all about, but I preordered it and already downloaded. Just waiting for 12:00. I got it on my XB1 though.

I was looking at it last week and it looks really interesting. Real survivalist notions, limited ammo and simple weapons. I really like the day night cycle and the change in the zombies. And I love free running elements in my games. But the First Person - ness drove me away.

It's being developed by Techland who developped Zombie Island. Zombie Island wasn't great....just good. I might give it a shot as soon as I get through Mordor and Far Cry 4.

I think dying light looks ok but will wait on review. I remember reading an article where it's a split off team from Dead Island who had disagreements on the way that game was handled.

I liked their page on Facebook, so, I watch their trailers here and then. It's a nice game, but, I just don't like how you can launch yourself off of a zombie. I don't know why they just can't create an open world straight-up zombie survival game, nothing supernatural, no arcade feel-ish to it. Straight up DayZ style.

early reviews were saying the controls suck and it's hard to tell what's going on in combat. It looks like the night times parts are the best bit.

I'm enjoying it so far. Very very unique experience with the traversing elements and shit. Combat seems a little weird. Like too loose I guess. I damn sure don't feel OP and that's always great to me. I haven't battled the zombies at night yet though.

Is the combat a freewill system? I don't know what's that called, but, it's like you swing your weapon and it'll hit anyone who's nearby or in the vicinity? Or is it like you pick a target and it'll give out an swing/combat animation based on the situation/positioning? & if there's more than 2 zombies, you can pull off a quick combo i.e. axe the first zombie, pull it out, axe the other zombie beside him, pull out your secondary weapon and use your hand to axe the zombie behind him?

Nah you gain xp for engaging in combat. You can level up power (combat) and agility (running and shit)

Damn physical copies aren't out in Australia and Europe until next month. Why would they delay the physical copies but not the digital? Did they have to re edit the game to fit classification or something?

it's fine so far. not the best part of the game but i'm sure it will get better as i level up and get better weapons

Ok guys I played this shit all day long and I gotta say I'm hooked. The story is blah, but the gamw itself is fun. The night time mode is so fuggin intense. Like they have these special zombies at night that can climb and chase your bitch ass along the rooftops and shit. They can get to you no matter where you are except for a safe zone. It's a very very unique experience.

I ended up getting it on XB1. I can't tell you how long it took. I was playing my PS4 while it was installing.

It's not the goat game, but it's pretty good. It has it's moments both positive and negative. I didn't have unrealistic expectations. I didn't watch many trailers. Didn't watch any game play footage or did too much reading on it. That's the problem with gamers these days. They oversaturate themselves with stuff from a new title that they ruin the experience of playing it by the time it drops. My only real knock I guess would be the graphics. I just expected more from this current gen. I don't think there's been a game yet that blew me away in that dept.

Yeah, because I was too lazy to go to gamestop & I couldn't wait, but guess what? I had to wait for a day to play it :roll:

It installs the game, then you play the first act, then you have to wait for the whole game to download. Me being the idiot that I am waited for the elevator :roll: I didn't notice the caption saying that I had to wait for it to finish.

I glitched the shit out of this game, that's right, I'm taking over motherf*ckers!!!! Think as if you're in a movie where nothing ever runs out unless it's a setup for something & of course, you have to be realistic, so I have unlimited FIRECRACKERS & LOCKPICKS, the shop apparently never runs out of those two. I looted some weapon upgrades (those i didn't get from the glitch), upgraded my prybar to 123 damage, still not enough, but whatever. That's still realistic! You're telling me if ever in real life--you encounter 3 or 4 zombies and it would take 7 strikes to kill them? **** OUTTA HERE!!!! With a Prybar it only takes 2 or 4 strikes, kinda okay.

People need to chill out. But I am waiting for an improved version of Day Z, though. Day Z's character movement is too corny for me & I don't like how you can just exit a lobby and switch to a different server. Nevertheless, it's still a great game.

I liked the evil within and thought the graphics were fine. The mechanics were great but if you only played 10 minutes I'm guessing you didn't even get a chance to see the actual mechanics of the game. Very early in the game there is a very frustrating part that doesn't quite work well, after that the game is MUCH better. My only complaint was the story didn't quite come together for the end and left too many lose ends.

Great game, big open world where you can loot and parkour/climb anything/anywhere almost, fun and scary as fakk... i mean try playing this at night time... irl and in game... :P

You can also be a Zombie, love this online... today i joined this poor kids single player game and he kept screaming/crying over the mic as i was screwing him & his game up... :D

No, have a hi-end computer hooked to my TV, have PS4/Xbox One controllers tho but its only for the sports games or the casual roleplaying games (GTA, NBA 2K etc.), but i never play FPS games with a controller, thats just for the casual gamer with a console laying down on a sofa, i mean you can never aim & control in FPS better than with a gaming mouse+mousemat & keyboard... thats where/how FPS is meant to be played... PS/Xbox FPS multiplayer dudes are lucky they battle only other console/controller gamers, so they can get away with it.... because PC guys would make them rage quickly and make them stick only to singeplayer mode... :P
