Not too upset, I'm sure they mainly want to showcase the young talent.

Team World doesn't need any extra help anyway lol

Hawkfan has battered poster syndrome, gets ripped on with regularity for shitty posts but just keeps coming back to try the same garbage again.

Over which player? Maybe Lavine, but I think he's in there for the highlights (and you have him in the dunk contest to build up hype).

If it were fan vote, then sure, but if the NBA is selecting, they really need to reward the better players, and I truly believe KJ has been better than LaVine. Even a quick glance at the NBA.com rookie latter shows KJ at #5 while LaVine is only at #8. Similar stats, but his defense easily puts him over.

This isn't an event most people will watch. I bet the Celeb Game gets about the same amount of viewers as the former rookie-soph challenge. Lavine is at least a name people know about (thanks to YouTube). I'd say KJ is equally exciting and one of my favorite young players in the league, but ask a casual fan who he is or what team he plays for and most won't know. All-star weekend is for the casual fan.

Then you throw in the inevitable dunk or five Lavine will have and it's a perfect segway to discuss the dunk contest.

Even tho he's been Iggy lite for the Sixers, this is the kind of game he could put in work.

I would like this to be as competitive as NikeHoop Summit.. Hopefully it's not an All-Star shit fest, but to be honest, I fear it will be. A lot of these players are in rotational spots on contenders.
