Did this jackass really allow Kyrie Irving to score 55 pts knowing that Lebron was not playing? What the hell was he on the sideline doing? Day dreaming? Why didn't this clown send double teams at Irving since it's obvious he was their main offensive weapon.
It was confirmed last night he is not NBA material and should not be coaching at all. He has to be the stupidest mutherf*cker ever to stand on a NBA sideline. That's coaching 101, take away the best the player:facepalm

Hard to double team a guy when 19 of his shots are coming from 25-30 feet away from hoop

Wahtever man, if you see he is HOT early you send double teams and force someone else to beat you

And that would have happened because a consistent double team beyond the 3 point line means horrors for rotations once the ball is passed and the Cavs would have had easy buckets all day.
Kyrie was a mad man. Sure you argue after the fact, but hindsight is 20/20.

Expert Basketball analysis.
Would've put Aldridge or another big man on Kyrie instead of Batum for that final shot though.

The rim was the size of the Atlantic last night for Kyrie. He was making rediculous shots at a rediculous clip. Further, doubling up on the parameter is never done in basketball for a reason.

I feel the same way but 11 three pointers means he was on fire. You're talking about 1 three away from being in a 3 way tie for an NBA record. I didn't see the game but he did have to take nearly 40 shots to get that. Letting one player score all the points usually plays into the other teams favor because the rest of the team is less energized.

Their defense was ok, Kyrie made tough shots and they only allowed 99 points.
Major problem was on the offensive end where no one except LMA was hitting shots.

no. because Kyrie sucks at passing. by the time he passes the ball, the Blazers would have been able to recover and rotate. double-teaming Kyrie is a smart play. double-teaming Lebron is not.
you double-team chuckers, while you single-cover passers.
