View Full Version : Lillard: "If I get snubbed from AS game, I'll be pissed"

Lillard, who was named to his first All-Star team in his second season, is just a tad bit antsy for the announcement.

Not making it in the West.

He's the fourth best PG.

Well, now I don't want to see him make it because I want to see that extra passion come out.

And why can't 4 make it?

CP3
Westbrook
Lillard
Harden
Klay
Aldridge
Durant
Cousins

That is my prediction of the reserves. Keep in mind Kobe will be replaced.

And fans try to downplay the all-star game acting like it doesn't mean anything or its just a "popularity contest" which is kinda true. But this shows how much players really do care about it. Especially when people are listing it right alongside mvps, championships, etc when comparing players resumes.....

Surprised no leeks yet. Usually a few hours before the official announcement.

A lot of times players in Lillard's situation, being named to AS game means a $$$ bonus that's stated in their contracts.

Houston's James Harden has been selected to the Western Conference All-Star reserves, league sources tell Yahoo.

Horford will be one of three Hawks selected -- along with Jeff Teague and Paul Millsap.

Klay is better and deserves it. Maybe next time Dame

Harden being a reserve is a joke. He should be starting...I know Kobe's popular but come on....All 3 Hawks players deserve it. Hell, I wouldn't be mad if they threw Korver on there too..He's a huge reason they can run the offense they do, he provides floor spacing...

Kobe is gone

Klay is starting for Kobe, Kerr chose his backcourt.

Don't some players have clauses in their contracts to get a bonus for ASG appearances?

Yes. Kyrie Irving lost 7-10 million due to not being an ASG starter because the 'Derrick Rose Rule'.

After what Lillard did to San Antonio in they building and what he did to Westbrook and the Thunder in their building he has to be a lock. Dropping 40 in both those games on the road is impressive. Taking over the game in triple OT then bringing Portland back from being down 10 points with 1:30 to go. That is what all-stars do. This shooting slump shouldn't decide a thing.

If he doesn't make it I'll be surprised. I really don't even care. Klay Thompson could get his spot for all I care. ASG is a waste of energy.

He didn't make it despite being better than last year. It just shows how good the players are in the Western Conference. Also, Tim Duncan making it over DeMarcus Cousins is absolutely idiotic. Cousins is arguably better than Marc Gasol this season.

He'll be Kobe's replacement most likely. I hope he is on the team but still feels snubbed and goes to work as if he wasn't on the squad.

He should be pissed...about how awful his shooting has been of late and that Portland has gone 4-6 in their last 10 games. Is it even surprising that he wasn't included? He got cold at the wrong time and the team stalled, not much more to it.

LMA missed time and he didn't capitalized on that to show he was ASG-worthy. the Blazers had a losing record without LMA.

Kyrie just dropped a double nickel on your no defense playing ass, sit down, and shut your dumb ass up.

Take into account the number of games Kobe, Durant, and Westbrook missed. Now add in the fact Damian Lillard hasn't ever missed a game in his career. Still didn't make it.

A disgusting mentality. As I have said before, this type of thinking mixed with his horrible defense/refusal to head Payton's advice/teaching and his lack of focus (focusing too much on this whack Christian Rap career, there is no God son) will result in him being out of the league by 2017.

Quote me on this.

The real discussion here is CP3 over Lilliard, cause Kobe was a fan vote.

Personally, I'm fine with CP3 making it over him. Lillard numbers are not spectacular, yes he's good, but so is CP3.

Duncan over Cousins, now that is a crime comparable to child molestation.
