Think NBA is on the right track in experimenting with the rookie game this year. USA vs The World makes a lot of sense and it eliminates a few big issue with the current format.

This will eliminate the fan voting of undeserving all star roster spots. Kobe should never be voted in this year to be honest but his popularity has bumped him in there.

This format also eliminate the lack of talent from the Eastern Conference. There were a lot of questionable players such as the Heat & Atlanta players which normally wouldn't get a sniff in the Western Conference.

This format will allow more of a competitive nature in the game as more defensive enforcer will be in play.

Here are my picks for this format:

Tony Parker (France)
Kyrie Irving (Australia)
Goran Dragic (Slovenia)
Andrew Wiggins (Canada)
Dirk Nowitzki (Germany)
Serge Ibaka (Spain)
Tim Duncan (Virgin Islands)
Pau Gasol (Spain)
Al Horford (Dominican Republic)
Marc Gasol (Spain)
Joakim Noah (France)
Nikola Vucevic (Switzerland)

VS

Damian Lillard (USA)
Stephen Curry (USA)
Klay Thompson (USA)
Chris Paul (USA)
James Harden (USA)
Lebron James (USA)
Kevin Durant (USA)
Carmelo Anthony (USA)
DeMarcus Cousins (USA)
Dwight Howard (USA)
Blake Griffin (USA)
Anthony Davis (USA)

Would this be more interesting then the current game?

no the game with vastly inferior players would be way more exciting imo

Would be fun for once, but it would be a bad idea to make this a consistent format due to one side or the other having a swing over time.

Team USA would dominate and alot of those players are not deserving

This would be a great format IMO. However it runs the risk of things getting chippy and possible injuries. You know dudes on both sides will be trying to actually win this one

Kyrie fancies himself as American which is why he didn't rep Australia in FIBA

I think the world Team's front line can do some major damage and make some serious stops to win the game.

With all those stars in Team USA... There is still only 1 ball.

That international frontcourt doe

Dirk Nowitzki (Germany)
Serge Ibaka (Spain)
Tim Duncan (Virgin Islands)
Pau Gasol (Spain)
Al Horford (Dominican Republic)
Marc Gasol (Spain)
Joakim Noah (France)
Nikola Vucevic (Switzerland)

all except maybe Vucevic are capable of playing 4 and 5.

This. Guys like Dragic, Ibaka, Parker, Wiggins, Dirk and Noah don't belong in the AS this year.
This would take a lot of spots of deserving american players.
