"I just want to thank the coaches who feel I wasn't good enough, the fans that didn't think I was good enough , and Adam Silver also for not thinking I was good enough. This isn't unfamiliar territory for me , it's actually what my life has been inspired by. I'd be lying if I said I wasn't disappointed or that I don't feel disrespected but it's not too much to handle. Not the first or last guy to be snubbed. 'You should have been there' isn't good enough for me. But anyway, The reason I'm in these shoes is because I've always use the hand I was dealt to my advantage... A wise man once told me... ' it ain't always gone be peaches and cream but somebody has to pay for the reason it's not ... One way or another ' ... #ImThankful #Real #NonAllStar #RipCity #YellowTape"

If Tim drops out, can a Guard take his spot (if Harden or Klay move into the F spot?)

I wouldn't want lil Dame's feelings to get hurt over his exhibition game snub, tbh.

This generation of stars, man. :oldlol:

Same thing happened to Gilbert Arenas in 06, people forget he made the team as an alternate. Arenas that year averaged 27ppg on 43% shooting pre-all star break. Post All-Star break? 31ppg on 46% shooting. Let's see if Lillard takes his game up a notch because of this.

19/3/6 while playing every game > 14/8/2blks while playing 64 games

How the fvck did he not deserve it? Lillard was the favorite for the entire year due to his play and he wasn't some hyped player, either. :biggums:

And Lillard was guarding him the whole time? All 37 shots Kyrie took. Plus 10 fee throws. That's 45 points off field goals on 37 field goal attempts.

What about when Lillard owned him in the first game and shut him down playing on one defense the whole game?

Lions don't worry about the opinions of sheep.

This is a bad look for Lillard, he seems super butt hurt.

A real pro would simply congratulate those who made it, work hard and show with your actions why you should have been there. He's just running his mouth and making himself look bitter and jealous

If he has a bad game tonight against the Hawks he is gonna be in for some well-deserved criticism

Seriously he just got murked. He doesn't bring much to the table other than shooting and he is shooting only 38% this month.

The way he's played the last three years he's hasn't significantly improved in anything. He's shooting around the same 43% from the field, he's shooting worse from three this season than last. Assists are slightly up, rebounds are slightly up, steals are slightly up,. It's just thought luck with guard heavy West.

Putting the ppg without the efficiency is useless. 19/6.5/3 ppg on 43% fg with no defense in 39 mpg is not better than 14/8/2 on 52% fg with good defense in 28 mpg.

Lilliard won because of hype...simply because he is a "sexy" perimeter players. The very type of players that are outrageously overrated these days.

also played 20 less games

lillard - 55 TS%
Davis - 56 TS%

Davis came with hype because he earned it by dominating the NCAA and leading his team to a title as a freshmen and winning the NCAA POY award. Big men have to earn their hype most of the time.

Guards are outrageously over hyped from the get go without having to earn anything. Lilliard is an example of this along with Brandon Jennings and many more. Even after they are proven busts it takes the casual fan base a long time to accept that they are a bust.

How are they busts? :facepalm

Jennings was having a great season after Smith was traded and leading his team to wins in the process. He's still young.

Lillard is a bust? Are you functionally retarded?

Or are you talking in general terms at which point it;s irrelevant to this discussion? Davis came in with far more hype. He put up worse stats than Lillard and played 20 less games.

How is this an argument?

How can a player who's averaging 22/6/5 and has been putting up those similar type numbers his first three years in the league who was picked 6th in the draft be considered a bust?

To be fair, if you make all star, isn't there a pretty large check you get out of it? Not to mention more exposure. Winning is a big deal to some, but progressing your career and your financial earnings is another big draw.

Well...he's been worse this year.
No he hasn't. The Blazers lost 4 starters, including all-star LaMarcus Aldridge, yet they are positioned at 8th seed and Lillard is the biggest reason for that. Additionally, he has raised his scoring from 21.0 to 24.3 (6th in the league) and his assists from 6.2 to 7.1 (7th in the league).

Yup.

Lillard's conference is stacked at his position (he's not better than Harden, Curry, Westbrook) but the fact that the Blazers are in the playoff race is an immense achievement.

He's not better than Paul, and Paul leading the Clippers to wins without Blake means he has to get the nod over Lillard.

But he should have made it over Klay. Klay has been more of a roleplayer this season than a star (80% of games anyway). I understand his team is winning, and normally that should favor him, but this is an exceptional case.

Clifton
01-29-2016, 01:45 PM
Just looked at the rosters again. It's funny: he's better than every single Eastern Conference guard this season. At least, none of them are demonstrably better than Lillard.

So I guess everyone telling him he wasn't good enough wasn't enough motivation for him to get better? Point blank he's not good enough to be a Western Conference all star. Instead of recording garbage music how about you get in the gym and work at your craft.

Lillard is a very good player. Especially at his age. His conference is just stacked with some incredible players at the guard position.

Also negged.
