Make it 12 in 5...

And it is against Tyson Chandler. One of the best rebounding centers of his time.

Hassan Whiteside has potential to be an all-time great. He has 5 offensive rebounds and 8 defensive ones in 6 minutes.

In most cases, I'd say something like "he is gonna slow down, blah blah", but honestly, it is the Heat, there is no one else to rebound, and he usually racks up stats more towards the middle of the game.

I wouldn't be surprised with anything between 20-35 though.

Then why is everywhere saying he is RFA? That means someone can offer him a deal and force Miami to match.

Because it's an unguranteed/team option. One that Miami will obviously exercise.

Completely agree, and it is pure luck.

We can sit here and pretend that Riley is a genius, which he is in terms of putting teams together, but young players and eye for talent coming out of college and D-League have never been a strong point. In fact, I'd say he is flat out terrible at it.

He is great at finding pieces to fit and work though. One of the best ever.

I wouldn't say he's flat out terrible either. The Heat are just never bad enough consistently to get good picks(which is a good thing to boast).

The last three times the Heat picked in the lottery, he drafted Caron Butler (good), Wade (legend), and Beasley (bust, but was a consensus top 2 pick).

Middle to backend of the draft is always a crapshoot.

I already googled a more in depth article on his deal, and the options. Much better than your reply.

ESPN just pulled the most ESPNish stat of all time out of its ass.

Whiteside is apparently on a list of the only players to average 16/12...per 36...over their first 19 games of a season....since 1997.

Im glad to see the guy get shine...but get the **** outta here with that.

I heard the Wade pick wasn't him. He was leaning more towards Kaman apparently.

Still, now that I look at it, to describe him as horrible is unfair.

He was leaning towards Kaman. Tim Grover said to go with Wade and that's why the Heat are where they are today.

He was available as well, but Riley didn't put anywhere as much emphasis on filling the hole at center that he should have. Many people including myself wanted Hassan to get signed. If Hassan was on the roster the last 2 years I don't think Lebron leaves.

Try using some historical facts first about wilt before spouting off nonsense like "it's only one game". Wilt historically, and hence it follow logically FYI, since you're a pos, historically did for a season what others could only do for one or two games. So F off.
