I cancelled my cable, but I have my computer hooked up to the TV so it's pretty much like watching cable, except I'm paying much less. Just pay for internet and a few streaming services that get me the exact (if not more) shows that I watched on TV.

I think the best use of TV is:

Sports
and then
ONLY WATCHING TRULY GREAT dramas/comedies.

The problem comes from there being a zillion dramas/comedies that are "PRETTY GOOD" but not worth anyone's real time. It's so easy to get sucked into watching that level of shows. Best to cut that stuff out.

My computer is hooked to my fancy 50".... wireless key/mouse... i have no cable tv of any sorts... its all the 100/100 Fiber at work.... all sports from the entire world is streamed through the internet and if you are willing to pay a small sum you can watch them on 1080p (i use ballstreams for example)....

As far as games go i download all of them for free and have right now 8 PS3/PS4/Xbox360/Xbox One controllers bluetooth'd etc. to the computer which plays any games at 1920x1080 & ultra settings..... meaning the best graphics & even better customization.... hence the best gaming experience....
