Prob not

probably not. the bulls were the only "great" team ATT, while expansion ran rampant. great team, but they were simply in the right place at the right time.

the superteams of the 80s and even teams of the 2000s like the 08 celtics, 04 pistons, shaq's lakers etc would have probably dealt with them swiftly.

Guess you missed some of the "Can the Warriors beat the Bulls record" threads that were posted here. There were a few that said they could beat it or at least win 70 games.

I think the general consensus was that they werent going to do it and even if they could they would rest their starters at the end.

They never had a chance and anyone believing otherwise was delusional. They MIGHT win 65 games, but even that is a stretch. The only way you can win 70 games is to have a superstar surrounded by elite role players. Curry is a star, but not a superstar that can carry his team to wins when noone else shows up. The same can be said for the role players on that Bulls teams, when Jordan didn't play well they could pick him up.

Lebron is a great player while the east rampantly sucking in the last 10 years. He colluded in the right place at the right time against old team spurs in a barely win.

i may have embellished a little, but honestly those teams would have given chicago fits. if not the 04 pistons, i could definitely see the 08 or 09 (healthy) celtics wiping them out in a full 7 game series.

And to add, if I remember correct, the 97 season had the most 50 win teams ever.
