Phoenix actually is fairing quite well in their hardest stretch of the season. But they don't have enough separation just yet as OKC has an easy schedule the rest of the way as well. OKC need one of those 12 game win streaks which they hasn't been in their personality this year. Durant's foot is a nagging injury and it seems to sporadically cause problems. If Phoenix plays relaxed they are going to keep the 8 spot, but their three best scorers or players are PGs and that can cause tension at any time. A Portland collapse is possible as well. Its one of those years where teams are late in getting their act together. OKC's magic number of loses is 10 one way or the other.

I heard before the game that Memphis had won 15 of their last 17 games going into tonight's game against OKC.

Best win of the season for the Thunder and now only a half game behind Phoenix for the eighth spot in the WC playoffs heading into the all-star break with all type of momentum. Now if they can just stay healthy.

I still believe that they need a minor trade at the trade deadline for an additional three/D guy on the perimeter. Their lack of consistent three point shooting could be their Achilles heal.

I am an OKC fan.

Will we make it? There's a chance, especially if Durantbrook continues their superhuman play.

However it doesn't matter if OKC makes the playoffs.

With Scott Brooks as coach, we will never win a championship.

Golden State is deeper and much better coached.

Sure, we have 2 of the top 5 players in the league, but unless they are surrounded by players that can compliment their game (instead of having offensive liabilities like Perk and Roberson who allow Durant and Westbrook to be double teamed) and a coach who knows how to utilize their skills instead of just pure ISO (so predictable and easy to defend against), they cannot just carry us to a championship.

OKC / GS would be a more entertaining series than PHX / GS, but make no mistake, OKC is not going to upset them unless Scott Brooks miraculously learns how to coach after 7 years of running high school basketball.
