The Bulls are missing Deng. They need to get a good defensive starting 3.

That was the Bulls best defensive lineup the past two seasons while Rose was out.

They need to go out and get someone who can replace Deng and start at the 3. Dunleavy is decent but he's hurt. McDermott isn't ready and Mirotic doesn't play defense well enough.

Nah, Butler is a 2, he just needs better spacing around him. Teams just pack the paint with Rose bricking all those 3s, Noah turning into Ben Wallace on offense and Hinrich+Snell being a liability in the other wing position.

They need Rose to not shoot 30% while taking 30 shots per game.

Just get Mike Dun Dun back and it changes much more than we originally thought. He 6'8, the best 3pt shooter on the team, savvy veteran on both sides of the ball. Defenses will have to go back to respecting him as a shooter and will help Jimmy and Derrick to keep driving lanes open. Also a willing passer.
