Courtney Lee missing that point blank lay up for the game in the 09 finals was the biggest choke until the Seahawks passed it just now

People don't realize it yet because we still haven't been able to process what we just witnessed completely, but this chokejob right here is one of the worst in sports history.

This is like being open for a layup with 5 seconds left on the fast break to take the lead in the NBA finals and a guy like Shelvin Mack comes up from behind and smacks your shit.

2015 super bowl, and it's not even close. Can't believe Carroll just cost Wilson and company a ring with that idiotic play. :facepalm

blew a double digit lead in the 4th quarter then turned the ball over in the endzone with 20 secs left. This is much worst.

I don't watch this other sport but I shall remember you that the Spurs missed 2 FTs and allowed 2 offensive rebounds in 28 seconds. Had one of this 4 events not happened they would've won.

A lot of people say it was a bad play call after it doesn't work but that was a horrible play call before it even happened. Pete Carroll is a b*tch.

2013 finals NBA and it's not even close, and here is why:

Seahawks are playing against the GOAT qb Tom Brady. So it's not a surprise that he would lead a 10 point deficit to come back and win the superbowl.

On the other hand, Spurs were up by 3, Pop took out Duncan who could have gotten the rebound which Bosh got and passed it to Ray Allen, who saved someone's career.

This team failed to cross ONE YARD to win the game with 3 chances and got intercepted by a rookie.

Not surprised it would happen. Stephen A Smith picked the seahawks just like he picked miami last year, spurs before that and okc before that. If you ever want to win money just pick against his pick in the superbowl / nba finals.

Yeah, this isn't a case of second guessing. It was legitimately one of the worst calls in sports history.

Spurs was biggest collapse ever but this was the biggest choke job

2013 Finals is the bigger choke. Up 5 with 30 seconds left and you gave it away. Seahawks loss was a choke job too but Pats had plenty of time to come back.

I'm leaning towards Seahawks because you only get one game. Spurs had game 6 overtime, and they had game 7 to redeem themselves. Once the hawks shot themselves in the foot with a coaching error, there was no redemption possible.

seattle= Carrol.....

worst call to make in football history.

You have a gladiator in Lynch' ... .look at the name

He could of finished off NE in one play to finish the game ..

instead they pass :facepalm

RUssell Wilson could of gone down as a HOF QB in a 3 year career(.)

Seahawks choke is the equivalent of a 90% FT shooter missing 4 FT's in a row to lose the game.

The Seahawks because even though the Spurs choked in game 6, they still had another game they could have won in game 7.

Game 7 of the 2013 Finals came down to the wire.

It was only a LeBron choke.

That was all on LeBron. It's not like they were seconds from winning the title, and missed FTs.

Yep, and don't forget that Ray's shot only took it to overtime. There was still one shot left for the Spurs after Ray's, and they had overtime to seal the deal.

Equal overzealous gag reflex. The Spurs and Patriots are very similar to me on many levels to be honest. Great coaches, quality system that the sum is greater than their parts. Only difference is the Patriots have actually repeated, defending their throne.

Spurs. They were winning and had to hold off the Heat. Pressure got to them and they missed 3 out of 4 free throws, one more of which would've sealed it.

The Seahawks wasn't as much of a choke as it was just flat out boneheaded and stupid. And it wasn't as simple as holding them off. They actually had to make a play. I didn't get the feeling that the pressure got to them.

As much of a sure thing a Marshawn Lynch rushing TD from the 1 yd line is, can we really say it's as easy as one freaking free throw???

Comparing it to the 2013 NBA Finals Game 6 is ridiculous. The Seahawks didn't choke, they just used the wrong play for the wrong time. If the endzone is right in front of you, just give it to your best penetrator. It's the same thing with the 49ers in 2013. You had 7 passing opportunities in front of the endzone against the Ravens. Just get somebody open and win...but nooo, couldn't do that and they lost.
