He was a great off-ball passer indeed.

He lead his team in assist for a couple of seasons. He is indeed a very underrated passer.

nothing about Michael Jordan is underrated, he is literally pound for pound the greatest at every single basketball related skill/talent. only people who haven't seen him play think otherwise.

he could have lead the league in assists every single year if he wanted too, but why pass when you're the best option?

he was a solid off-ball passser, but nothing more

Not as underrated as his off-ball shooting though

Actually, Jordan led his team in assist percentage for his ENTIRE career through 1993.

Jordan's career assist percentage in the regular season is 24.9% to Pippen's 23.1%, and in the playoffs the gap is massive - 28.2% to 21.8

He is indeed a very underrated passer.

that's what happens when you are the GOAT playoff scorer, and people are fascinated by the crazy shit you do on the offensive end of the floor.

also, the natural human inclination is to think of good passing coming in a point guard form and style, where the player dribbles a fair amount they way a point guard does.

but even though Jordan demonstrated elite primary ballhandler and point guard ability (http://ballislife.com/michael-jordan-could-of-been-the-best-point-guard-ever-want-proof/), his style was not to dominate the ball, which hurts his perception as a passer.

I do hope you're trolling. Jordan is probably the GOAT, but he's not the best at every single skill, even pound for pound. Nobody is.

His off-ball navigation was even better.

Does Jordan have anything to do in comparison with Bird in terms of passing ability? Or is Bird out of his reach?

Check out his off-ball shooting, though.. that was a really forgotten and underrated aspect of his game.

only thing better is his off-ball-dribbling

Definitely not. It was his on-ball cutting.

I am admire MJ of his instant passing skill while he virtually looking to score. His reflection is astonishment.

Bingo.

Everybody can pass when they're in passing mode. Not many can pass as good when in scoring mode. The other player that reminds me of MJ in this sense is Wade.

Kobe has to be in passing mode to be as good for the most part.
Bron is almost always passing first, that's his natural instinct.

But Wade is very good at being aggressive and yet still making some timely passes while in scoring mode.

Not often you see Mutombo posterized...by Horace Grant no less....But then again, Grant was an excellent finisher, finished with strong dunks consistently...

There's a reason why he's the undisputed GOAT...he could do everything really well on the offensive end.
