Bacon. I've seen somebody on ISH say it is overrated, which obviously makes it underrated. Giving it a 10/10 is underrating it.

I want to say BBQ
Everyone knows great BBQ is absolutely delicious, but I still feel like it lacks in reputation. I feel like it's the GOAT "American Food"...followed by Cajun.

Top Blade Steak - every bit as flavorful and tender as the Big 3 (tenderloin, NY strip, ribeye) at a fraction of the price.

green beans
peas
carrots
yogurt
bananas
celery
Take a bite of a banana, a few raisins, a small scoop of all natural peanut butter, and then a sip of milk. It is like Raisin Bran for people who dont eat grains. It is amazing.
Raisin Bran is underrated too.

brussel sprouts
shepherds pie
radishes
garbanzo beans/chickpeas
over easy eggs
mexican dishes with mole
Thai salads w/ beef or chicken (not as popular as pad thai, etc, but so good)
this sounds weird, but I think salt has become 'underrated', in that it's gotten a bad wrap over the years and/or people are going away from it. salt (and pepper) makes everything better when cooking.

Chili!
You can have it with bread, rice, crackers, on pasta, used as a condiment on burgers or hotdogs, as a dip with nachos, with eggs for breaky...
You can have it hot, or cold
There's protein, fibre, lycopene, and depending on the vegetable, nutrients. Put some kick ass hot sauce and bam!
Chili FTW

Don't know what half of these dishes are.
ja ja mieun - noodles in black bean sauce. its real popular in korea. its more chinese-korean style dish. Noodles Corner has it on their menu but its a very simple, lame version of it. a few places do this really well, just have to find them.
kalbi - beef short ribs grilled usually in its own sauce. most good korean restaurants have it but probably the most expensive thing on their menu.
morengo delight - some chinese food places have it. its basically shrimp and chicken with peanuts in a sweet brown sauce. kind of like kung pao chicken but on another level.
the stuffed shrimp w/ crabmeat and grilled swordfish i only had at Phillips in ocean city but they were amazing. i had them from other peoples dishes but would order if i went back there.

Altantic Cod in the US IMO. It's one of the best fish IMO, I prefer it over the much more popular salmon and tilapia.

I love chicken pot pie so much. Also, canned peaches get a bad rep but are the GOAT canned fruit.

Sardines
I too used to think they were gross, but once I tried them I was hooked.
They also happen to be very healthy.
