Man, nothing has come close to Pokemon since.

I was getting a little too old to care, but was Yugioh even close to the level of Pokemon? I remember back then Digimon was getting some noise and then it died down.

Pokemon was crazy. Games, cards, etc. Is it me or is nothing happening like that for kids these days? Or am I just old and out of touch...

Yeah, I don't know anything close in terms of brand name recognition. Beyblades were big for a while, but nah, can't think of anything that I see regularly in the store that stands out for kids.

Word. Yugioh was the shit too. I played with the cards one whole summer with my cousins.

I liked the designs on the cards, but never really got into it. Didn't need more money going to another card collecting phase. There was already basketball and pokemon cards.

I still have my original Charizard. In really good condition too. Is that thing worth anything today?

I had more fun playing Yugioh then Pokemon, plus my cousin had a ton of cards so we just randomly shuffled the deck and got a game going. I miss those days

Anyway. I had a Charizard too. Well, my slightly retarded neighbor got one in a booster pack and I hustled him into trading it for Porygon :lol

They're still playing Pokemon.
