Makes sense to keep his fire power coming off the bench.

Nepotism at its finest

Daddy been carrying this kid for 20 years now, time to cut the umbilical cord and accomplish something due to the work you've done, not the name of your daddy.

It won't happen but it'd be a funny story if he turns in to a 25+ ppg player under his Dad.

Doc hired someone to beat the shit out of JJ to make this happen.

He's provided pretty decent scoring off the bench the past few games...

Yeah, it's total nepotism, but if he can develop into a decent starting guard under the tutelage of CP3 and his dad wouldn't it be a nice success story? :confusedshrug:

It's definitely nepotism as has been said. The Clippers are fighting for playoff positioning. Why take a chance by starting a green inexperienced Rivers? Why not Farmar or Douglas Roberts?

Start dudes not on the team? Not a bad idea!

Neither are on the team.

I'm almost saddened to say that this makes sense. Crawford is (sadly) the only offensive catalyst off the bench, which means either Wilcox or Rivers gets the start. C.J.'s been in the D-League all season which means he's even greener than Austin.

You could argue Jones would be better off starting but I'm almost positive his #s are even worse than any other wing player we have. And that just leave Turkoglu to back up Barnes.

Dear God.

Sounds like Rivers set it up to have no choice but to start his son.
