They aren't getting anywhere this season. I can see a 2nd round playoffs exit at max. Some thoughts:

1. Bullets bench simply sucks, Andre Miller needs to say goodbye to the NBA and Temple, well...I can say that he's a good defender...but a floor general? Give me a break. We need a solid young backup PG.

2. The offense relies so much on Wall that it's laughable. It almost seems like the other guys are incapable of putting the ball on the floor and resort to being spot up shooters.

3. Beal is young and will improve in the next 5 years but right now he's too inconsistent, he's getting in foul trouble, one night he scores 25, the other 5 and so on...

4. Wittman needs to go as a coach. I've been saying that since 2014, the guy did what he could with his coaching abilities but it's time for an upgrade. He isn't the worst coach in the league in terms of W/L% for nothing.

4. Too...many...midjumpers...I mean, I get sick of it. Every single time.

And I say this as a Bullets fan. Just being realistic here.

You forgot the part about Wall airballing wide open jumpers because he is a garbage shooter. Probably gonna shoot 36% in the playoffs again.

Hope Hawks get them in the 2nd round so Teague can take a shit on him.

Well, I wrote about too many mid-range jumpers.

They have one problem: Otto Porter is not a small forward to win a championship with.

Pierce is on the end of his career and should be a role player.

Porter is a gaping hole at small forward.

But they are waiting for that guy in Oklahoma.

I don't really have faith in Ernie Grunfeld but we'll see I guess.

Despite that, this team could still go to the 2nd round again.

Who do the Wizards want to match up with in the 1st round ?

Obviously Bulls, either 1st of 2nd round.

I think they could handle Bucks and Heat. Charlotte probably too. But there is no way they are winning against Hawks, Cavs etc.

yep, i had high hopes for the wiz was looking forward to supporting the team with Pierce in it but now i can't stand watching. The slump was inevitable with the backup's they've got .. Garrett Temple and Rasaul Butler SORRY but no thanks.

Honestly its nice to see teams getting better like the Wizards and Raptors, but in the big picture, how much are they really getting better?

They're still growing, and probably need another big move each to get to the next level, but for now unfortunately for them they're probably going to be on the wrong end of either the Cavs or the Bulls come playoff time, and maybe even Atlanta if they're really for real.

Have faith in your team. They are talented, they just need Wall to man the f up come playoff time. He is one of the most talented PGs in the league if not the most talented, I just don't see the hunger in him, the IT factor. I thought them picking up Pierce was huge, because that's 2 guys that can hit huge shots (Beal also). He's all about the playoffs so we will see.

They need to run the offense more through Nene in the post, for some reason no matter how well he's playing they always don't go to him for long periods of time.

I agree with Dre dude is done and Gortat and that 60million dollar deal looks like a massive disaster atm.

They need a starting level wing player and move Pierce to the bench imo, someone like Jeff Green or Wilson Chandler would be perfect.

Before the season i predicted 42 wins. Pierce has been better than i thought so they should finish better than that.

The Bulls are the only team i would feel confident against in the playoffs.
