Very simple, list your 5 best songs ever. If possible, state the reasons for the selected song being on the list
My top 5:
5: Paolo Nutini - Iron Sky. Just personal tase, although a great songs with very thoughtful lyrics and a great speech by Chaplin added in the middle of the song that just works wonders for it.
4: Michael Jackson - Earth Song. Great message, catchy, masterful vocal performance by MJ.
3: Journey - Don't Stop Believing. Inspirational, obviously a magnificent voice by Perry
2. Scorpions - Wind Of Change. One of the most iconic songs ever, one of the most recognizable melodies ever, great performance vocally too.
1. Queen - Show Must Go On. Best vocal performance I've ever witnessed, and judging by the circumstances the song was recorded in it's even that more impressive. My favorite song ever

Impossible task, but here's 5 of my all time favorites in no particular order

Sam Cooke - Bring it on Home (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Dl5usKhGz60) - Sam's voice is f*cking honey, this is his best song and I never tire of it.

Marvin Gaye - Lets Get It On (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=x6QZn9xiuOE) - If you were making a "planet earth's greatest hits" album to give to aliens this would be track 1

Van Morrison - Madame George (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xrOgYjp20j0) - I almost went for Caravan or even the New York Sessions version of this song but this is off my favorite album (Astral Weeks) and is just a painfully beautiful masterpiece

Otis Redding - Fool for You (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hDeOihd6PF4) - Otis is my favorite artist of all time, he is soul music personified, the guy just poured his guts out on every track. No way I could pick my favorite song of his but this one is a good representation of what Otis was about

Dispatch - The General (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=q3JjlkfX5Gk) - every other song on this list was from the 60s so I thought I ought to add a contemporary song. The visual story telling and the forgiveness crescendo make it an all time fave of mine.

Then we got different taste in music. I'd rather listen to 10 people scratching a chalkboard and Kim Kardashian cry for an hour than listen to any Marilyn Manson song. Not only do his songs suck (IMO) but he's also a terrible role model. My friend actually likes him and brought me to one of his concerts. First thing Manson said when he came out was "Which one you ugly ass teenagers wants to get finger ****ed tonight"... Probably the weirdest musician out there.

Okay
Michael Jackson is one of the greatest artists though and is extremely misunderstood. Watch his interviews and you'll know that he's totally not what the media put him out to be. He might have had some MENTAL issues, but deep down I think he was a really good person and a shit ton of people look up to him.

no order and theres 5-6 more that could've been listed. but since I am asked this question a lot I have prepared answers:

Tangled Up In Blue - Bob Dylan
Astral Weeks - Van Morrison
Higher Than The Sun - Primal Scream
Won't Get Fooled Again - The Who
Lucky Man - The Verve

I don't think Lucky Man is objectively a great song, but a good one. But for entirely subjective reasons it is in my top 5. Probably not representative of my music taste as I love hip-hop, electronic and alternative as well.

Also have to give love to another Dylan song, Mr Tambourine Man.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OeP4FFr88SQ&list=RDOeP4FFr88SQ#t=0

5:00~ gets me every time.

Probably my favourite 'established' Dylan classic (songs like Like A Rolling Stone, Blowin' in the Wind, Times They Are A-Changin, Subterranean Homesick Blues, Idiot Wind, All Along the Watchtower, etc).

There's barely anyting Dylan on YouTube, unfortunately.

This is my fav Dylan YT video. It's an unused scene from 'Dont Look Back' (incredible documentary), though very few have seen it (his performance of 'It's All Over Now, Baby Blue' made the cut).

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=u2D1xACyltQ

The bridge at midnight trembles
The country doctor rambles
Bankers' nieces seek perfection
Expecting all the gifts that wise men bring
The wind howls like a hammer
The night blows rainy
My love she's like some raven
At my window with a broken wing

Another great track on one of the GOAT albums.

This shit is all subjective anyways. I just picked 5 tracks that when I hear them, I pretty much have to stop whatever I'm doing and get into the music for a few minutes.
