Test for the Hawks :biggums:

The Hawks have been the test for the teams they've faced for about 20 games now. Not the other way around.

If the Bruins weren't playing the Canadiens tonight, I'd be watching this.

Although truth be told, if the Bruins/Canadiens game goes as I expect it will...I might just catch the 2nd half of this one.

Yep. They will lose and then they'll be left talking about their irrelevent regular season. All the Hawks will be left with is moral victories.

Really... Who gives a shit that the Pats went 16-0 during the regular season in 2007? People remember them more for losing in the Super Bowl that year.

There are no more "tests" for the Hawks in the regular season, they've been every team people have said they wouldn't.

The real test comes in the postseason.

No stars + no rebounding = Early exit in the playoffs.

Three stars to be precise

and look at the Miami championship teams, no rebounding

Millsap was a nobody in the western conference. He had to come to the east to become an all star. Moreover, Horford or Teague wouldn't make the all star team if they were in the west. They're not stars.

The Heat had two superstars. The Hawks are cheap K-Mart version of the Spurs.

They can take their 40-10 record and stick it up their asses.

That's because it's the Pats. The Hawks making the ECF even would be incredible. You are the biggest debbie-downer I've ever seen.

The Spurs didn't have an "stars" last year, and they embarrassed LeBron, Wade, and Bosh. It's a new era of team ball, and it's glorious.

Duncan is still a defensive anchor inside.

Horford and Millsap went out there and combined for 10 points tonight.

Some all star tandem.

So tired of hearing about what the Spurs did last year. It's what happened last year vs. decades and decades of NBA history.

People said the same thing when Detroit won the title in 2004. How did that work out?

"The Pistons took down those evil Lakers! It's a new era for the NBA!" :facepalm

I guess we'll have to wait and see. If you're right, the Thunder or Cavs should win the championship, as they are obviously the most star-stacked teams.

Hell, the Hawks three all stars wouldn't even be all stars in the west.

Millsap was a nobody when he played for the Jazz. Just a 25 MPG back up. Same for Carroll. This Wal-Mart team overachived for 2 months. But it's coming back down to earth.

I also think we've seen quite a few team championships over the past few years. The Mavs in 2011 were a balanced team. Even the Lakers in 2009 and 2010, even though they had Kobe, really relied on contributions from Gasol, Bynum, Odom, Artest, etc.

Gasol was better than anyone on the Hawks back then.

The blow out against Toronto on Jan 17th was the last time this Hawks team put it all together (with the exception of the Warriors game).

This long stretch of home games sort of masked the fact that the team is becoming less and less effiencent.

Well you should, because It's only been what...50 years since your last EC appearance?

Jan 17 was the last time they put it all together, except for the last time they put it all together. Right. One loss on the road to a dominant west team does not change how well this team has been playing.

Don't forget the the thumping the Pelicans gave them... Only beating Philly at home by 5 points.

And honestly... Golden State still scored above their average in that game the other night.
