In a piece on David Axelrod, former chief strategist to Barack Obama, New York Magazine unearthed an absolute gem of a story regarding the president, one of his basketball idols, and a little bit of a spelling error:
In the front hall is a glass-encased ballot box from the Florida 2000 presidential election. There's also a napkin signed by JFK, a letter from the newly elected Abraham Lincoln to the Chicago mayor's son, and a signed poster of Michael Jordan. "When the president turned 50, I wanted to get him something special ... so I sent it to Jordan to have him sign it for me." In black Sharpie, Jordan scrawled, "To Barrack: you still owe me dinner. Wishing you well, Michael Jordan."
"I gave it to the president, and he said, "I can't put this up, he misspelled my name!' So I said, 'Fine, I'll take it.'"

Well for the average person yes, but no the President should not. He should send it back and demand Jordan redo it.

Obama is a man of pride and principal. He's the freaking president of the most powerful country on Earth. He's not some ISH teenager that idolizes every little thing about their favorite star.
The idea that he would hang up a poster, with his name misspelled, is ludicrous.
This is the difference between Obama's mentality and the layman's average mentality. You don't become president of the United States of America by hanging up posters with your name misspelled plastered on it.

Jordan should be hanging up Obama's signature, not the other way around.
I'd wipe my ass with that picture and never acknowledge Michael Jordan again.
It would be different if it was Durant. Durant can get away with misspelling the presidents name but MJ? Lol, no. He had Dean Smith and Phil Jackson to create his legacy. Durant has Scott Brooks and still wins 70% of his games. He's the best ever.

i don't get why people want autographs from celebrities. Unless you are planning to make money from it, it is kind of sad.

It's true doe. Jordan had two of the greatest mentors and coaches in sports history and they basically spoon-fed greatness into his mouth like a mom does to a toddler.
What Durant does is more impressive. You fans are blinded by rings. Team sport. You need a perfect team and a great coach to win in this league. Durant gets close every year with a highly flawed roster and the worst coach in sports history. All the champions either have great 3pt shooting, great post play, great perimeter defense, great post defense, or great coaching. Usually it's at least 3 of the above 5. OKC has ZERO of the above 5 and Durant still gets them close every single year.
Winning rings doesn't make you the best. Durant proves that.

Actually, proper nouns can be spelt any way as long as the spelling doesn't affect the pronunciation of the name.
Barrak & Barrack are basically the same pronunciation, the 'k' or 'ck' is the same sound. The difference is in the way the 'a' is said.
