List them.

There was this Starz show called Boss with Kelsey Grammer that was real good. Gus Van Sant was heavily involved in it. Unfortunately it got canceled after 2 seasons.

Showtimes Shameless is really underrated. Season 4 was one of the best things I've seen on Television.

Showtimes Masters of Sex is very good.

Rectify on Sundance TV is a really great show as well.

Finally, Legit a comedy that aired on FXX for 2 Seasons starring Jim Jefferies was really funny stuff as well.

the first season of legit was really good, the second had some really terrible episodes mixed with a couple of good ones.

I'd add the hour, british TV show about the start of 60 minutes and journalists back in the day. Was really good until it got cancelled.

I'd also add peep show, easily the best comedy I've ever seen but still not many people outside britain seem to talk about it.

It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia.

I know it has a sort of cult following, and is uber-popular among those, but I'm always shocked by how many people have never even heard of it.

It's fairly new so it's possible not a lot of people have been exposed to it yet, but Peaky Blinders is badass. On Netflix.

Constantine

Constantine isn't half-bad.

Sleepy Hollow is decent too.

Yeah, Peaky Blinders is sort of like a 1920s British version of Sons of Anarchy except that it's just a higher quality show. The acting, direction, and cinematography are all very good.

I mentioned Rectify in the OP. Season 2 just got posted on Netflix and my goodness the show is so good. Everyone should watch it. Might be my favorite thing currently going. Created by actor Ray McKinnion (Deadwood, Mud, etc).

All-time: The Wonder Years

Current: Gotham has been really un to watch. It's picking up now as the characters are developing.

I'm still a sucker for Storage Wars, although all the spin offs are atrocious. I tried to get into Jerod Loves Brandy. That flopped.

:applause:

It's Always Sunny gets a decent amount of recognition and has its hardcore fans, but I feel like it gets overlooked a lot. Being on FX probably doesn't help.

i love shameless, but i wouldn't say that it's the best written show on tv. It definitely has some of the best characters on TV though that's for sure. hella underrated show compared to other comedy shows like community, parks and rec, orange ITNB, and arrested development. No one ever talks about shameless and it's never in the pop culture.

I like some of the shows on Esquire network that revolve around travel. Best Bars in America is cool and The Getaway had a couple nice episodes. I think at least one show is produced by Anthony Bourdain. Parts Unknown is also a really well done travel show. Bourdain is a good host with his combo of cynicism and genuine enjoyment of food and sensitivity to others cultures.

I love the writing. Like you said, they've developed a bunch of great characters, it feels very realistic most of the time and it has stayed consistent and strong as a show through 4 seasons
