I had one of these, but it sucked trying to keep my uploads near even with my downloads. North American ISP's make it near impossible with our dial-up like upload speeds compared to fast download speeds. It had less selection to, so there was no point in bothering with it. I cheated and used a fake uploader to up my ratio and it still was tough to keep my ratio up.

As others have mentioned, kickass torrents has been my go to for a long time now. If you're unsure of the legitimacy of a torrent, check the comments. People will tell you if it's fake/damaged.

I've got a 1.5 ratio with 1.37 TB worth of downloads on TL. You just suck at uploading.

Like I said, the upload speeds for NA ISP's are abysmal. A 30 mb/s download speed is accompanied by a 1 or 2 mb/s upload. You leave it running 24/7 and download only occasionally, or you cheat. Those are the options. I'd rather download the exact same torrents from KAT and have an upload ratio of 0.000whogivesashit

False. People like you that don't ever seed should be banned from downloading torrents forever.

Private trackers WILL give you the fastest speeds because everyone there is required to seed and oftentimes people use seedboxes, and are also the safest to download from because they aren't anywhere near as easy to track as public sites. :facepalm

Public site are far more popular and there is safety in numbers. 50,000 people downloading a movie are not going to all receive a copyright notice letter. You're right to an extent, seeders keep the system afloat, but people get that and generally seed within their means.

Just download and run PeerBlock if you're worried about downloading from KAT, TPB, etc.

Never received a notice from my ISP.
