View Full Version : How epic will it be when Houston is bounced in the second round?

If they even make it that far.

Seriously, why are Rockets fans running their mouth like their team as currently constructed is winning sh*t? They'll be lucky if they manage to squeak past whoever they play in the first round, but all bets are off after that, especially if they run into Golden State. Every time I log in here I see a thread full of the same Houston fans jerking it over how much better they are than OKC and the Lakers. It's as bad as the Lebran fans here.

Stay celebrating your favourite player's all-star selections and regular season stats. :lol

OP is right. Rockets fans act like they cheer for Warriors or Hawks. We all know what happens to Harden without bogus FTs

With the injuries all over the West (Warriors, Grizzlies and SA are the healthy ones in the top 10) anything could happen in the first round but I don't think they could make the WCF or the finals.

I don't think anyone has declared Houston a real contender. Harden is the only one who can create, so their offense suffers when he's not on the floor. Dwight is gonna be out a while, and he hasn't been that good this year (by his standards). Not to mention, Harden doesn't play well in the post season.

So let's see, who can they actually beat in a 7 game series?

Golden State, nope.
San Antonio, nope.
Memphis, Hell no.
Portland, nope.
Clippers, maybe, probably.
Dallas, Probably not.
OKC, nope.
Suns, prob not, possible.

Houston reminds me of the 2001 Sixers. Whole offense depends on one guy with a bunch of defenders around him. Sure they went to the finals in an incredibly weak east even back then, 2nd best teams were Toronto & Milwaukee rofl? Houston is in the west, it's not happening. They get past the first round I will be impressed. And wtf, McKale isn't even a good coach. He get's no pressure from management cause he brought Dwight there and is a nice guy. They shouldn't have lost to Portalnd last year in the first round.

Not a Rockets fan, but their team is having a very good season and their best player is balling out of his mind, so why in the world would a true fan not celebrate a good season? Are they supposed to not be happy?

Come playoff time in the West anything can happen, any team can lose to any team, so even if the Rockets do lose in the first or second round, it happens.

There's a difference between celebrating and being an irrational d*ckbag. Besides the occasional "BREAKING" thread, I don't see Hawks fans doing this.

As a big time Rockets fan the only team I know for sure that could beat us is Portland. Other than that I think we're simply more talented than any other team out there.. Plus James Harden is getting so much more respect out there this year from the refs I see this as the year is game translates into the playoffs. If it does...look out.

Harden has fine crafted his game according to the way of the current NBA. It's his fault that the refs decide to call a completely different type of game in the playoffs?

Now that their most important player (Dwight Howard) will most likely never be the same again, they're ****ing doomed in the playoffs. He is basically the only player that would step up for them.

Smoke117
02-10-2015, 05:19 PM
I'm not even sure how this meets any agenda? :confusedshrug: Their 2nd best player and defensive anchor is injured and been hurt on and off the entire season basically and even with Howard nobody has them over Memphis or the Warriors. I don't really consider them a legit contender and considering they lost in the first round last season...wouldn't getting to the 2nd round be...uh...progress?

First round, not second round. Second round is out of the question. And either way, the Rockets getting smacked around in the playoffs won't be epic whatsoever, it'll be the most predictable outcome in sports history.

We might as well knock Houston out of the playoffs and give Phoenix their spot once OKC grabs the 8th seed. At least Phoenix won't bend over and willingly take it in the ass.

Seriously, who outside from retard Rockets fans seriously expects them to make noise this year?

Second round would be overachieving for these bunch of three point happy chuckers.

They had a good start but now everyone except Harden and DMo is back down to earth.

Plus DH will never be the same, Beverley is back to playing scrub ball with crappy defense, Ariza is going 2-10 every night and we all know Josh Smith is terminal cancer waiting to happen.

TJones is back but he's lost in the shuffle.

Like I been saying all along...stacked team but lack of coaching behind it is going to kill Houston year after year.

Smith and ariza are playing their best ball of the season.

Ariza is averaging 13/4.4/3/2.2 spg shooting 39% from deep over his last 18 games.

Josh Smith is averaging 13/7.4/3.4 and shooting 52% from deep over his last 8 games.

Rockets are 12-5 over their last 17.

So literally everything you said was wrong. Well done.

Houston isn't even on the radar. You actually let a couple of fat losers dictate how you feel? These people are used to the Rockets being absolute dog shit so winning regular season games for them is the highlight of their lives.

Harden will never be a playoff performer. Every smart NBA fan knows that Houston can't make a WCF, let alone win a fcking championship.

UK2K

Ariza started out hot as ****. He's calmed down since and is shooting 38% for the season. 38% is bad no matter how much defense you play.

And Smith had a lot of people fooled. You're apparently still one of them.

12-5 is good but over an entire season that's not even 60 wins and you and the other three combined Houston fans make it seem like they have a chance to win it all.

Party at your house if Houston makes it out of the first round.
