I dont have a problem with it. Fat asses need the government to force them to slim down than so be it. Either more revenue for the government, or a healthier population, a win either way.

As far as I know, there's no segment of the population for which obesity is a good or natural thing. Given that, it's alright to discourage everyone from obesity, but I wonder if this proposed new way is the best way.

I suspect that PR follows that anti-fat FDA fervor. Perhaps, rather than fining obese people, it'd be better first to fix their own food recommendations such that companies aren't pressured by the market to make things that may not be the healthiest for their consumers.

Sickening. Power and money hungry bullies want to have more power and more money so they can tell people how to raise their kids. Not just tell them, but fine them for not raising ideal children. I am sure they will have erections as they hand out these tickets and really get to see the look on the parents faces, as they are reprimanded for not being good enough parents. Anyone who supports this is the problem. People cannot seem to mind their own business and want to trample on others who they see as less than themselves. Right now it is smokers and overweight people, but this same logical pattern is what led Hitler to wanting a generation of blonde hair and blue eyed Caucasians. We know what is best, and we have the power to control those who are not best.
