:biggums: This team makes the 2010-2014 Heat look tame by comparison. Has there ever been a team in NBA history that didn't go to the Finals with this many All Stars?
Championship or super duper bust

The 1998 Lakers. Shaq, Kobe, Eddie Jones and Nick Van Exel. They got swept in the WCF by the Jazz.

06 Pistons lost to the Heat in the ECF.

11 Celtics lost to the Heat in the second round.

The got 4 All Stars strictly due to how historically weak the East is. And even then, they need an injury to get them 4. None of those guys are All Stars in the West (or in the East during the 80's/90's)

I forgot about them, but that is a little bit different. That Utah team was stacked with Hall of Famers, but in the current East there is no such team to stand in the Hawks way. #noexcuses

Hawks have 4 all stars... no other team in the east even has 3. Hawks are 99% gonna make the finals...else.... :facepalm

Good for the Hawks. They are a great team and it's nice to see their players get recognition.

So.... when trying to bring down Kobe, coach/fan voted things like all stars and all defensive teams don't matter.

But when trying to build up LeBron's competitors so that everyone but his team is "Stacked" number of all stars matters all of a sudden.

Gotcha.

Earned not given. Unlike lebron who teamed up with players who reached all star status prior.

Crazy how insecure LeBron stans are. They know his 2 rings hold no weight and if he doesn't win this year then he'll never be in the top 10.

Making threads about every contender in the league and re-hashing the same unoriginal "no excuses" sentiment.

Ironically, the only player and team with no excuses is LeBron and the Cavs. His fans know it too.

Can he afford to lose again with the most stacked team in the league? This is his 5th straight year playing on the best team in a historically weak conference.

Who cares how many all stars a team has? All-NBA selections are much more indicative of how "stacked" a team is than an exhibition game decided by fans. Does OP really believe the 2011 Celtics were more stacked than the 2011 Heat?

Playing in a shit conference will do this

Korver is the worst allstar selection since BJ Armstrong and Dana Baros

what does lebron have to prove? The cavs are still geling together with guys that haven't even been here for a month. Varejao is out, and we have a rookie dumbass coach. If anything, worry bout ur boys who have been together for like 5 years now.

OKC has been dealing with injuries all year and the worst coach in the league.

We have two new starters in Roberson and Adams. New pieces like Morrow and Waiters. McGary is a rookie and is just now getting playing time.

OKC has more excuses than anyone. Injuries, terrible coaching, western conference, and still trying to find chemistry with the new players.

So once again, you're wrong on all accounts. Good effort though.

To be fair, they aren't really good all stars.

People wanna say teams like the Cavs are underachieving based on the fact they have 3 All Stars, but this article is proof that All Star selections are about nothing more than being popular. How else do you explain Kobe being voted a starter over James Harden? :facepalm Durant is in 5th place among front court players right now, and it's not because he has been hurt, it's because he is not that popular. Even Kevin Garnett has more votes than Millsap and Big Al!

Allens decline was swift. Not sure about Pierce .. Garnett was already expired in 11... Allen and Pierce had some in the tank if memory serves me correctly.. That was the year they trashed the Knicks 4-0 and Allen and Pierce had 40pt games respectively.

Wade was top 3 player at the time, plus there was the whole narrative of Lebron finally getting over the Celtics.

Tell me again why this ****ing shitty LEASTern team that got swept in the play offs got 4 all stars with a 62-20 record in the LEAST playing the EXACT same except much shittier with similarly constructed roster while one of the GOAT championship teams just the previous year had a 62-20 record in the BEST and had ONE all-star? Oh, that's right because the BEST is much better than the shitty LEAST and is STACKED with talent so the LEAST has to reachhhhhhhhhh wayyyyyyyyyyyy far back to load up it's roster with overrated scrubs that show their true worth when it matters the most. 2/6 is coming, you ****ing heathens. May the basketball gods have mercy on your ****ing souls.
