Sup fam?

Yo my mind been racin lately. I've never been more motivated to accomplish great feats in all my life.

I have gotten kinda unhealthy the past couple years- too much partying and lethargy physically, eating like an American, smoking too much, etc.

Well lately I've been more mindful of getting my heart stronger and be physically fit. I've long gotten my good friends to become hockey fans over the years. As such, one of my older friends have taken to being a real NHL fan so he wanted to learn how to skate and perhaps teach his son how to play hockey. We have been going skating the last few weeks and I haven't lost too much.

I feel so good out there. I haven't played hockey in years and my cardio is shot at this point but I know I can still shoot the puck and I still know the game.

I'm thinking about attempting to play again. I was good. A natural talent but my work ethic as an adolescent/ early teen left much to be desired. I need to get whipped back into shape with the least amount of pain and vomit as possible :oldlol:

Any advice?

I love hockey, gentlemen. It was my first love outside of my parents and sister and I wanna score goals, light the lamp again.

Good for you man :applause:

I played goalie growing up and was pretty good. Mostly because my aunt's boss's son gave me his hand me downs. Also because I had a black belt in kenpo and could do the splits.

I tried skating on New Years after 20 years off skates. Took my son for a family skate. Man it is hard to get back. Great exercise.

Probably one of the hardest sports to get back into- endurance, time, money, etc. but I'm gunna try

Comeback to something you were (i assume) talented is like falling in love all over again. If you got the skills and you know what to do, the motivational part will be there eventualy with the time.
Just don't give up after a setback, they will happen... it's natural, especially in a very particular sport like hockey (which i just watched once live, even though i played roller hockey as a kid.)

Good luck man!

Thanks brother. My skating wasn't as rusty as I anticipated.

Going to buy a stick so I can throw the puck around next time.
