Guy drafted potentially 2 MVPs and the most dynamic PG in the game in three consecutive drafts.

That's some top notch talent evaluation.

3 MVP's

Westbrook could easily get an MVP award if he had his own team.

Reggie Jackson isn't the most dynamic PG, clown.

And I'm not comfortable calling Westbrook an MVP until he gets one

Hanging onto Scott Brooks and Kendrick Perkins though...

Yeah, outside of talent evaluation, his GMing skills leave a bit to be desired.

That's the best game he's played all year and will likely never have another one like it....

He's a bum. One of the worst players in the league.

Sam Presti still needs to make a trade for a quality three/D guy on the perimter.

Oklahoma City can't compete for a championship this season by being the sixth worst three point shooting team in the league, IMO. They have too many players like Westbrook, Jackson, Waiters and Roberson that are poor three point shooters and those four players average nearly 12 three pointers per game with an anemic percentage of 26% on threes.

That simply won't get it done. OKC needs to reduce their three point attemps among those four players like, probably by 4-5 per game, and those players need to stop taking quick contested three point shots off the dribble.

But even if they show more discretion on their shots, they still need another quality shooter and defender on the perimeter. Make it happen, Presti.

He doesn't need to trade for anyone, he just needs to get a new coach who utilize their current talent better.

I don't have any doubts that a team of

PG: Westbrook, Jackson
SG: Morrow, Waiters
SF: Roberson, Lamb
PF: Durant, McGary
C: Ibaka, Adams

would rape the league...

OKC would be so much better off if they traded for Shumpert and Smith instead of taking on Dion Waiters, then got Timofey Mozgov.

Russell Westbrook / Reggie Jackson
Iman Shumpert / J.R. Smith / Anthony Morrow
Kevin Durant / Andre Roberson / Perry Jones
Serge Ibaka / Nick Collison / Mitch McGary
Timofey Mozgov / Steven Adams

would have been 72-10 good.

Anthony Morrow on the bench behind Shumpert and JR Smith... :facepalm

Don't know what others don't see in Morrow. Guy is a baller and is going to come up huge for OKC in the PO's

I have my share of problems with Scott Brooks as well and they are all the same problems that everyone else has noted over the years.

However, a coaching change at this point with KD being in his final year of his contract next year seems unwise with the way that Durant feels about Scott Brooks, see his comments about Brooks at his MVP speech last year.

Oklahoma City would be wise to keep Brooks to maintain that continuity, which is why the Nick Collison contract extension makes sense, although they overpaid for him somewhat, within the franchise that could keep KD in OKC. The Thunder front office would be wise to suggest some changes on the staff to upgrade their assistant coaches to make up for some of Scott Brooks' deficiencies as a coach.

But whether you like him or not, his players seem to like him and he has fostered a mostly positive culture on this franchise with a good work ethic and creating, hopefully, some loyalty.
