How many rings do the Spurs win?

I wouldn't be surprised if the Spurs won every year. Bill Walton was THAT good.

Oh man...

They win in 1998, 1999, 2002, 2003, 2005, 2007, 2008.

After that, I don't know if Walton has as good longevity as Duncan, but all through his prime, they win 3 more.

Take Duncan, make him 7'1, make him a better rebounder, a better passer, a better and more impactful defender, and you have kind of a comparison to what Walton would be.

I don't like playing that kind of what if; however, a long-term injury-free Bill Walton would be one of the best basketball players ever.

Is Walton a better rebounder than Tim Duncan? What's to back that up?

They don't know what they're talking about tbh

1) Big men -TOP individual Playoff Runs (Title Runs since 1974)

2) Duncan without Robinson, Spurs without Duncan

3) Spurs' system in desperate times: Give the ball to Duncan and cross fingers

At least, they'd do about the same... Prime Walton was incredible, the impact he had on the court was through the roof, some people don't even realize.

Such a shame for injuries, you'd be looking at a top5 center and a top10 player by now, imho, if he kept what he was doing, if he kept improving too...

Edit: And by saying that I'm not taking anything from Timmy, dude's one my favorite players, terrific really impactful player, the GOAT PF, and I'd probably say a top10 peak.
But, on topic, Walton was crazy, at his best...

Just the thought of this is insane, peak for peak I'll take Walton handily over Duncan. A lot of people on this forum never witnessed peak Bill but pair Pop with Bill Walton and they're unstoppable. They keep Kobe and Shaq ringless basically
