Kobe has played 19 years in the NBA, LeBron is in his 12th season... So no, LeBron isn't about to pass him in assists.. can't be true, almost impossible.

Lebron has a decent chance to reach the top 10 alltime in assists. He would need a bit more than 2000 additional assist to get there.

Lebron is the king of statpad though so it wouldn't surprise me that he has all the records.

But he'll be 2/7

Almost as good as Stockton for sure.

Certainly the same kind of player in the finals.

Of course Stockton did not have Ray Allen to save him from 1-4.

5. 2011+ Wade (except for a few breakout playoff games)
6. Artest (maybe above Wade and Bosh due to defense)
7. Love

Horrible list. Wade before injuries>>>Gasol. You are absurdly overrating Artest, especially it were talking about the one who played with Kobe.

1. Shaq

2. Wade (2011. 2012-14 lower)

3. Gasol
4. Love
5. Bosh
6. Irving

7. Artest

Kobe. The amount of years with Shaq and Gasol > LeBron's short stint with the Heat and super short stint thus far with Irving/Love.

Why are Irving and Love being included here he hasn't played a playoff game with either yet.

And PS to the OP, Kobe isn't a forward..

Of course LeBron was going to pass Kobe in this. When 80% of the time you pass up the last shot of the game, this is bound to happen.

lmao at you listing Artest and Fisher while not listing this guy

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=r1ny_dWBYMs

LebRon has played with way more talented teams, that's why he gets to pad his FG% stats.

Of course LeBron was going to pass Kobe in this. When 80% of the time you pass up the last shot of the game, this is bound to happen.

If he really does that, and the shot goes in like 40% of the time, he's only getting like 26 more assists per regular season ( if he plays in every game + passes the last shot in every game).

Hat's off to Lebron good for him... wonder where he'll end up all time? creeping into the top 10ish area seems doable depending on his health?

This is hardly a surprise considering Kobe is not a PG and he played in the triangle for so many years, the triangle is not a sytem known for racking up tons of assists...

Still despite those things Kobe is the only player to score over 30k points and have over 6k assists which is pretty damn impressive on it's own

I was hoping to see Kobe move into second on the Laker all time assist list but with him going down early this season and next year uncertain looks like he'll stay in third behind Magic and West

One of the better passing forwards of all-time for sure but anyone gets pissed at how the NBA overrates his "no-look" passes? I mean its not a no look pass when you turn your head at the last minute after you've been looking at him the entire time. That's the only thing I hate about LeBron's passing lol

02-13-2015, 05:48 AM
He does make very solid passes not sure why everybody's hating.
Kobe's a scorer, a great one. LeBron's a wellrounded player, a great one as well. Can't they get the respect they deserve :facepalm

Exactly. What's this 'no other guard' nonsense. No non-guard in NBA history has ever dominated the ball as much as Lebron does.

Greatest non-guard ball-pounder of all time  .
