They are about equal. I think Last Stand disappointed me more because of my expectations, while Origins looked bad even in the commercials.

Personally, I thought he was a terrible choice for Hal Jordan anyway, and knew it would be a flop based on that. He's a perfect choice for Deadpool and while I don't see this movie doing really really well, it will do well enough to have a sequel.

It will most certainly not beat out Avengers in ticket sales...this movie is rated R, no families allowed. This movie is already banned in China, which is a huge market.

It WILL likely be a much better movie than Avengers though...

I'm not thinking even about 'awesome story' with this...to me this seems like more of a comedy with extreme violence.

I feel like it is already a given that it will be significantly better than movies like Green Lantern, just being rated-R makes it better than half the super-hero flicks out there. But you're right, it could still be 'meh'.

The Wolverine 3 is great news.

Batman vs Superman R-rated cut will be completely weak. That movie was made to be rated PG-13 since early production. I'm sure the censors asked them to make a couple tweaks to keep the PG-13 and the "rated R cut" will simply be those scenes that weren't over the top simply being put back in. Don't expect Superman to suddenly be ripping off heads and there being blood squirting everywhere. The movie will essentially be the same intensity in either cut.
