I don't see why they would want to join ISIS in the first place

Mice are insects?
No, but if mice can get in, what do you think ants/mosquitoes/roaches will do?

hahahha man thats a awesome thread idea i give u props for that.. hell if i knew how to give props through the forum id give u some points or w.e. the fuq u get on here for the topic... like where the f do u come up w that krazi shit ahhaaahha...
anyways no they wouldnt.. theres just too many of us, by the end of day 1 we would come up with full proof bug outfits and that would be the end of that... we couldnt exterminate all of them neither tho, no matter how much and how hard we tried.... :lol so it would be a tie, they would still be here, we would still be here... their casulties would be 10000000000000000000000 x higher then ours, but then again theres a 10000000000000000000000000000000 x of them on this planet then us so.. it still kinda evens out lol
It starts with just one... then a few more

The estimated ratio of insects to humans is 200 million to one, say Iowa State University entomologists Larry Pedigo and Marlin Rice in their newly published (sixth edition) textbook, Entomology and Pest Management. Rice is the 2009 president of the Entomological Society of America.
There's an average of 400 million insects per acre of land
The United States “is home to some 400 pounds of insect biomass per acre, compared with our 14 pounds of flesh and bone,” they write. “Another amazing statistic is that in the Brazilian Amazon, ants alone outweigh the total biomass of all vertebrates by four to one. Based solely on numbers and biomass, insects are the most successful animals on earth!”

They would succeed because of disease, and poisons/venom.

depends if they gain intelligence as well. They probably would succeed in at least crippling the way we currently live. The world is so interconnected through trade and imports for our modern conveniences that if some of the disease carrying insects in some countries attacked every human they saw they'd totally **** up that country which would have a knock on effect to countries relying on goods from those areas economically.

Depends on what type of insects live around your area. Imagine thousands of wasps sting you over and over.

Under the direction of a leader...they might. You couldnt stop weaponized mosquitos and other blood sucking peses released by the billions all spreading disease on purpose....while also having to deal with them choosing not to pollinate crops.
Lacking the ability to make them do the bidding of an organized leader...no. They wouldnt get far.
But if they had their shit together....they would wipe out billions just off not helping us grow food and then infecting the others.
The fishing industry would keep us alive a while...but not forever.
The elites I guess would live long enough to maybe come out of it years later...but it would be the insects world not ours for some time.
They'd succeed. There are quintillions of insects in this world

This really becomes the question. I mean are they still involuntarily attracted to fluorescent lights, because we could probably eliminate a large chunk of them pretty quickly if we decided we really have to. But if they decide to start say ... pulling down power lines or generally consciously destroying the infrastructure, that would be much different.

If these bugs were smart and wanted us dead, it'd be easy to wipe us out. They could just attack all of our crops and humans starve.

Humanity as we know it would effectively be eradicated, just like white blood cells attacking bacteria in the human body.
There would be so many of them it would be impossible to stop. They could travel via all mediums. Air, water, and land. You'd have no where to go and no way to stop them. A lot of people also freak out when they see a mass of insects. It would cause mass hysteria. It's very scary to think about...although it would likely never happen.

How do you think humans would respond within the first few days? What would be our go to strategy to protect outself, what type of strategies do you see developing?
Also, how about really super cold places? Are there insects in like, the coldest part of Canada during the winter? And maybe humans would have to be nomadic and keep traveling to the coldest areas for eternity. lol

Ultimately everything depends on how smart and united the insects are.
Are they capable of devising a plan to target and kill the world leaders and military key personnel first? Cut communications? Launch nuclear weapons?

I think it depends on how many bugs are going after you in your area. The slower the attack, the more time to think. In forest like areas I think you're f*cked. Cities are more likely to withhold a little bit longer. I think fire and water would be used frequently as a means for extinguishing the insects. Water could work to knock down flying insects and then you could aim it at the ground to drown them, as well as anything coming at you from the ground (or even underneath the ground)
Fire would be a much more expensive option and also the most devastating to the surroundings. I think it would be most effective though.
Extreme cold areas are actually a good idea. Insects usually slow down in colder weather because they aren't warm blooded.

Sure..but that would require predators and prey working together.. and a complete lack of sense of individual survival that's encoded in pretty much everything.

Except that it is an alien using the insects to wipe out humans (with mind control technology) so they can come down here and get our resources. Or something. Bro.

They'd wipe us out before we know what's going on.
Y'all think Raid is gonna stop them from killing you? It's hard enough to get rid of them when they're trying to hide. You wouldn't want thousands of ants, mosquitoes, roaches and many others invading your home.

How does recklessly attacking humans benefit Birds? I dont know, ask Alfred Hitchcock.
And as I said, it is aliens who are controlling the bugs minds and using them to wipe out humans for their benefit. Derrrp.
