Of course we would have to do this next year after we extend buttler probably somehow get an exception to make it work but would it work?

Reason for this.. Derrick rose gets more touches and plays better with a role player as SG.

New york gets a young star to build around.

Rose-Butler will own the East for years so no.

Anthony is past his best at his age; Butler is still a few years away from his peak years and he is still improving rapidly each year.

I'd choose Butler over Anthony any day of the week if I was Chicago. Anthony would kill the team's mojo with all his ball-holding

of course buttler is the sexier player - NY would have to say yes to this deal....

Bad for the Bulls. Rather have Butler and his youth/17-18 million than a 30+ year old Melo at 25 mil

As a Knicks fan I would jump on this trade in a heartbeat. As a Bulls fan I would too. Melo is a guy the Bulls would utilize better in the halfcourt. He is that guy that will drill a tough shot in Lebron's face to win a playoff game. Cavs will be that team they will need to beat to get to the Finals. I just think this trade would help both teams. I'm sure the Bulls are tired of regular season victories. With Thibs as coach, he will make Melo better.

Lmao if anyone is throwing extra pieces in, it's NY.

This trade makes a lot of sense Imo but more risk for Bulls.

This would be a terrible move for the bulls long term and current.
Melo's best days are behind him and they would lose a lot defensively at the sf position.

No! and I'm glad the Bulls didn't sign Carmelo last year.
