However the issue is when you ACT like you're so humble when you are not, Drose is the same way, extremely arrogant and selfish had most people fooled but eventually his true colours shone thorough.

Plenty of people don't like Durant, you play long enough in the league and have any sort of personality to will have haters. Guys like Duncan are like drones, people will be ambivalent to guys like that.

Steph Curry probably has the least haters out of the superstars. He's pretty hard to hate on because he's such a nice guy, and not in the contrived PR campaign kind of way (like Durant). Also, his relatively modest size and athleticism makes him more relatable...like he's just relying on sheer skill, which people appreciate.

Duncan has a decent share of haters. They're just not vocal about it the way the Lebron haters, Kobe haters, MJ haters, etc are.

I'm sure for all the respect Dirk got in 2011 for his destruction in the playoffs..a lot of people were rubbed the wrong way. Gotta be a lot of Laker fans that aren't too fond of him.

Imo the closest would be guys that were on the path to greatness, had visually exciting games, but were stopped by injuries. Guys like G Hill, Penny, B Roy, etc. But even then you have the people who constantly talk about how overrated they think the player is, how they're sensationalized because of their story, etc.
