View Full Version : why don't the TWolves get any heat for being 11-42?

They have a very talented team to only win once every 5th game.

Is Flip on the hot sit or is he untouchable due to the Wiggins trade?

because they can only and should only get better

They play in the Western Conference.
A 19 yr old is playing almost 35 minutes a night.
Another 19 yr old is playing 21 minutes a night.
Rubio was out for a long time.

How high were your expectations for this team? The future is bright, but the future is not right now.

Because 3 of their best players (Rubio, Martin, Pekovic) have been plagued by injuries and the guys who have been getting burn are young as shit. They have some promising young talent on that team though. They should be scary in a couple years.

Now that they have a healthy squad more is expected for next year.

Outside of 03/04, when have the expectations ever been high for the Timberwolves ?

This team is incredibly young and haven't made the playoffs for 10 (going to be 11) years in a row.

They don't have a supposed top 10 player like the Knicks do. So there is no scapegoating there.

Plus, they are all young + injuries. They should be a contending team next year but the problem is the West is so stacked.

4 of their rotation players were playing in the rising stars game yesterday.... hell it should have been 5 since Anthony Bennett went 1st overall

T Wolves are a franchise player away from being a play-off team again.

Because the team is young as hell. Some of their best players just barely came into the NBA

They had a ton of injuries. I think they'll actually win some games in the second half of the season with a healthy squad.

Rubio
Martin
Wiggins
Young
Pekovic/Deng

I don't like Rubio's game much, but that's not too bad of a lineup.

Is Flip on the hot sit or is he untouchable due to the Wiggins trade?

Because we have had injuries to key players which has made developing any kind of chemistry on the floor pretty hard.

No need to have Flip on the hot seat. We have a young team here in Minnesota and it will be a year or two before the team is making noise in the division and conference.

How empty were Kyrie Irving's stats? Dude needed a top 2 player in the league + top 10 PF to even make the playoffs in a weak east :oldlol:

I always see you bashing Wiggins. What's up with that? Kid's got a bright future ahead of him and he's really fun to watch.

Expectations. Nobody thought they'd be any good and nobody had any reason to think they would be good.

Noob Cake :lol what a f*ckin loser.

Wolves are probably the worst team in the league, and that is by design, they don't want to be good this year, they traded Brewer, took their time bringing back Pek, Rubio and Martin all for the reason of getting another top draft pick and getting Wiggins (future superstar), Dieng (future solid starter), Lavine (not sure where he'll end up but ceiling is high), Muhammed (future solid starter) and Bennett (anywhere from future rotation guy to top 15 at his position) as much playing time as possible.

Take the young core, add another top 3 pick, trade a combination of Pek, Rubio, Martin, Young (some not all) for another A level talent, and then all of a sudden you are looking at a dangerous team who is freakishly athletic and can largely play both ends of the floor.

With Wiggins the blueprint becomes much more clear than with other rebuilding teams, it is all about who fits around him, and this is the year they find that out.

Minnesota will make noise next year, but it won't be till year three where they really do damage in the post season.
