It really is. That dunk saved the whole night. My god. It was so good it makes you forget how bad the first two dunkers are.

Was there really any doubt that Zach would win the contest? I pretty much knew he was winning it as soon as it was announced he was competing in it.

Surprised he didnt pull out something like a FT-line under the legs lefthand finish on the last one. I mean we've seen him do the under the legs FT pretty easily

Repeatedly said it...no matter how garbage the other dunkers were..and two of them were..Lavine would be unreal. He would carry the contest.
Dude seriously has GOAT contest dunker potential imo.

Probably saving it for future contests. He's 19, and the hype going forward is gonna be nuts. No way does he stop after this one.

His first two were two of the best ever done in the contest.
IMO most impressive dunks are ones without teammates.

He ****ed with the order of the dunks and the lame NY crowd did him no favors. I feel he went to the between the legs one too many times as well.
His first two dunks were unreal, tho. Too bad because he had GOAT contest in sight. His third was kind of a throwaway (I mean, it wouldn't even have been better than Dipo's original third if he made it), and that's fine. As long as he capped it with something memorable. The last didn't do it for me.
But dat first dunk. Flawless.

I think if Oladipo didn't bust on his last go around, Lavine would have pulled out the free throw line dunk

Thought the same thing about James White.
Did White even make it to the NBA though? I think he got drafted but flamed out pretty quickly

As is Lavine.
20 minutes per game is solid rotation, far from garbage time.

He should practice three months, come back next year and try to break the high-jumping world record. I bet whoever oversees the US Track&Field programme is crying right now. No doubt in my mind, he could have won a gold medal, if he had dedicated himself to that sport as a kid.

lol I was hoping someone would post this. That Dr J was funny. He stayed like that for awhile. It's hard to tell what he was thinking. He looked impressed but then again he might have been hating a bit. I've never seen someone so stone faced for so long.
