Jordans stats against Duncans Spurs

22/6/3 on 38% inlcuding a 12-39 performance when Jordan was still MVP of the league..

Kobes stats against Duncans Spurs (using playoff stats in attempt to balance out the sample size)

28/6/5 on 47% including a 45/10 performance before Kobe was at his peak

as we can see, Jordan's approach was to chuck as many shots as possible and rely on his GOAT rebounding teammates (Rodman, Pippen) to bail him out, while Kobe's approach was to score more points on better efficiency

as you can see, Jordan wasn't able to find much success against what would become this eras measurement of franchise success in the Spurs. Jordan never had to face this type of system and defensive stopper in Tim Duncan..

imagine if Jordan had to get through the Spurs every year for 10 years just to get to the finals..

as you can see here, Kobe is able to rise and elevate over one of the GOAT defenders of all time who is clearly camping in the paint..
